Lashi Lake Wetland Park

Lashi Lake Wetland is located in the middle of Lashi Dam, 10 km west of Lijiang City. It is the first nature reserve in Yunnan Province named after a "wetland". Lashi Lake was originally part of the ancient geosyncline in northwestern Yunnan. After the development of the Yanshan Movement in the Mesozoic Era and the orogeny of the Hengduan Mountains, it finally formed the current intermontane basin on the plateau from the end of the Pliocene to the beginning of the Pleistocene. The lake is 2,437 meters above sea level, covering an area of about 3,560 hectares, and consists of eight types of wetlands, including marsh meadows, inland tidal flats, forest swamps, shrub swamps, lake water surfaces, river water surfaces, ponds, and ditches.
