Zhangjiajie in the mist: Encountering the ink painting wonderland

[Rose] I often hear people say that Zhangjiajie on a sunny day shows the tough outline of mountains, while Zhangjiajie in the fog can be called a true human wonderland. With the longing for this wonderland, I resolutely embarked on a journey to climb Zhangjiajie in the rain. [Rose] When the fine raindrops fell like cow hair, I was already on the hiking trail in Zhangjiajie. At first, nothing more than the rain-soaked stone steps and the verdant trees on both sides, the raindrops sliding along the leaves, making a ticking sound, as if it were a prelude to nature playing. However, as the footsteps slowly moved upwards, magical changes quietly occurred. [Rose] Through that gossamer-like cloud, the mountains in the distance began to loom. They were like a shy bunch of fairies, half-covered and refusing to show their full picture easily. The undulating peaks, under the clouds and mist, have softer lines, just like the brushstrokes blurred with light ink in traditional Chinese ink paintings, hazy and poetic. Each peak is like a masterpiece carefully sketched by this master of painting by nature, towering into the clouds or rolling, intertwined with the clouds and mist, forming a beautiful picture. [Rose] Continues on, the nearby peaks gradually blending into this dreamlike landscape. They were like giants coming from the depths of the clouds, covered with a mysterious white cloak. The rock texture on the mountain is more powerful and ancient against the clouds and mist, as if it is telling the vicissitudes of the years. And the occasional exposed clusters of lush green trees are like the finishing touches in the scroll, adding a touch of life and vitality to this cold world of ink and water. [Rose] Hiking in the rain, although her clothes are getting wet, she does not feel tired at all. Every step is like stepping into a painting, and every time you look up, you can reap new surprises. Sometimes the clouds and mist float lightly past my eyes, bringing a thread of coolness, as if they are interacting with me intimately; sometimes they gather together, wrapping the mountain peaks tightly, leaving only a white world, which makes people marvel at the unpredictable changes of nature. [Rose] I think of the ancients describing the beauty of mountains and rivers, often saying "the mountains and rivers are picturesque". Standing in the clouds and mist of Zhangjiajie, I really realized the truth of this sentence. Everything in front of you is not something that can be carved by artificiality, but is a masterpiece of nature, a great artist, who has carefully drawn heaven and earth as his canvas and clouds and mist as his pigments. [Rose] Climbing Zhangjiajie in the rain was supposed to be a brave exploration of the unknown beauty, but she did not expect to harvest such a dreamlike ink wonderland. In the midst of this cloud-shrouded hills, I seem to have forgotten the hustle and bustle of the world, and my mind has received an unprecedented tranquility and baptism in this picturesque landscape. [Rose] The wonderland of the mist in Zhangjiajie is a precious gift given to us by nature. He let me understand that sometimes, it is only by persevering in the wind and rain that we can meet that unique and shocking beauty. This beauty will forever be engraved in the depths of my memory as an unforgettable precious experience in my life.
