Zhengding Yanghe Building

Yanghe Building is located in the middle section of Yan Zhao South Street in Zhengding City. It was originally claimed to be the South Gate of the Tang Dynasty, and the park was rebuilt during the Jin and Yuan periods to create a performing arts center. It was repaired during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Yanghe Building is seven rooms wide and two rooms deep, with a single eave and a hipped roof, which is tall and wide. The plaque of 'Yanghe Building' is hung in the middle of the south side of the eaves, and the plaque of 'Guangda Gaoming' is hung on the north side. It is built on a high and spacious brick platform, with a stele pavilion on each side. The brick platform spans the street, like a city gate, with a round arch door under the platform, one on the left and the right, dividing pedestrians and vehicles into upper and lower roads. In 1933, Mr. Liang Sicheng, a Chinese ancient architecture expert, came to Zhengding to investigate ancient architecture and highly praised Yanghe Building. In his 'Zhengding Investigation Notes', he wrote: 'The seven-room hall stands on a large brick platform, giving people the impression that it is very similar to the Tiananmen Gate, blocking the way across the street, and it is more solemn than the Arch of Constantine in Rome.' Between the two door holes on the south side of Yanghe Building, a small and exquisite Guandi Temple is built. Although the scale is not very large, the setting is very complete. There are multiple layers of terraces in front of the temple. Yanghe Building is a famous building in the history of Zhengding, with the reputation of 'Jinan Famous Building' and 'Town House Giant View', and there are many chants by literati and ink guests. Zhengding is known as the Nine Towers, Four Towers, and Eight Temples. Yanghe Building is known as the first of the Nine Towers. Yanghe Building
