Temple of Apollo Didim's main attraction and one of the largest ancient temples in the world. Once upon a time, there were more than 120 columns here, each about 20 meters high—twice as tall as the columns of the Parthenon and comparable to Baalbek. The temple was famous for its oracle of Apollo, second only to Delphi in importance. Today, you can see the giant columns, altar, and reliefs. 🧢 Tip: Visit in the morning or evening, as it's hot during the day. Water and a hat are required. 📍 Hisar Mahallesi, Didim Miletus 25 km from Didim is ancient Miletus, once a major port and center of philosophy. The most impressive thing here is the enormous Roman theater, seating 15,000, with a beautiful view from the top. ☀️ Important: There's almost no shade, so it's best to arrive early. 📍 Balat Mahallesi, Balat Village Altinkum Beach The resort's main beach, with fine golden sand and a convenient entrance to the sea. It has a Blue Flag, so the water is clean, the beach is well-maintained, and perfect for families with children. Along the beach are cafes, restaurants, and a pleasant promenade. 📍 Altınkum Mahallesi Bafa Lake If you're looking to swap the sea for nature, I highly recommend it. There are fish restaurants serving local fish on the shore. Didim Promenade The best place for evening strolls. It's nice to simply walk along the sea, watch the sunset, and soak up the resort atmosphere. How to get there? There are buses from Izmir, Bodrum, and Dalaman. If you drive yourself, you can go to the Temple of Apollo in Didim, Turkey after Ephesus. It is a particularly worthwhile and unforgettable journey. The seaside scenery along the way is intoxicating, and you will be shocked by the magnificence of the temple after arriving. Although this temple from the ancient Greek period has experienced wind and rain, you can still feel its former glory. Standing in front of the temple, you can seem to hear the echo of history and feel the ancient people's reverence for God. The best brand new villas in Aegean Sea! Bayou Villas in Didim. We have already been to Lara Bayou villas so we knew that Bayou in Didim would be the same as high quality. All expectations are met; Beautifully designed villas with private pool over looking to Aegean Sea. Very tranquil and well maintained. Service was excellent, spotlessly clean and our beddings are changed daily. Fresh fruit basket provided on our villa every single day. There are fridges in each bedroom ( we stayed in 3-bedroom villa ). In every room we were delighted to see full of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and enjoyed them by the pool. 🏊 There are 7 Ala Carte restaurants inside the hotel and tried many as possible, loved each theme; Turkish, Italian, Asian and more.. 🍽️ 🥂 Every night different entertainment and shows, really enjoyed the vibes and atmosphere. Our favourite Yugen Spa and Wellness Centre was wonderful! One of the best one I’ve seen in the Europe! Very spacious , set in a beautiful area with sea view, hammam, steam room, shower room, ice room. We had Balinese massage for 2 and it was truly fabulous. 🧖♀️ We would like to Thank all managers and team members for their warm hospitality.
