Today, I’m taking you to my hometown—Dingxing, Hebei, to experience the local customs, delicious food, and beautiful scenery! 🌟 A few days ago, my family and I went on a spontaneous trip to Dingxing County in Hebei. This place not only boasts beautiful natural landscapes but also rich historical culture. We specially chose Dingxing Kangcheng Hotel as our base, and this hotel truly impressed me! 🌟 🏠 Spacious and Comfortable Family Rooms As soon as I entered the room, I was attracted by its spaciousness. The entire family room is well laid out with very efficient use of space, especially the living area, furnished with comfortable sofas and a coffee table, perfect for family gatherings. Each room also has a private bathroom equipped with basic amenities like shampoo and toothbrushes, making you feel right at home. 🚗 Convenient Parking, Worry-Free Travel The hotel’s parking lot is very spacious and easy to access. Since we drove here, parking was never a concern. The hotel is also conveniently located with easy transportation options—whether you’re heading to Dingxing Bus Station or Gaobeidian Station, it’s very convenient. If you enjoy self-driving tours, this is definitely your best choice. 🍽️ Must-Try Local Food Nearby Dingxing has a lot of delicious food, and there are several famous restaurants near the hotel. We visited a small eatery serving authentic Hebei cuisine, and their fried sauce noodles and roast duck were absolutely amazing! 😋 There are also several snack stalls selling candied hawthorn and fried skewers that are especially tasty. I highly recommend you try them! 🌳 Diverse Attractions Nearby Not far from the hotel is Dingxing National Intangible Cultural Heritage Town, which preserves many traditional handicrafts and cultural relics—great for bringing kids to experience. Also, it’s less than a half-hour drive from the hotel to Beijing Daxing International Airport, making it a great choice if you have travel plans. In short, Dingxing Kangcheng Hotel is a highly cost-effective hotel that meets your needs whether you’re traveling with family or on a business trip. The service is attentive, parking is convenient, it’s clean and hygienic, and there’s plenty to eat, drink, and enjoy nearby. Occasionally, you'll find locals setting up small stalls in the woods where you can unexpectedly snag some handmade candies that will sweeten your day. Kaixinguo Amusement Park Why we love it: An edutainment paradise for families. Both kids and grown-ups will easily be infected by the joyful atmosphere here. It serves as the perfect ending to a delightfully chill day of exploring. 🏞️ Finding Little Joys in Nature! If you're anything like me—a forest lover who enjoys the crisp touch of nature—make sure to carve out some time for a walk around the area. Surrounded by patches of lush greenery, it's the perfect spot for some mindful meditation or a family picnic. No need for strict plans; just wander freely and pause whenever a surprise catches your eye! 🚗 Transportation & Practical Tips · A road trip is highly recommended. The attractions are a bit spread out, but the roads are in great condition, making it super convenient for family travel. · Some entertainment facilities require on-site ticket purchases. It's best to show up and flexibly adjust your itinerary based on the afternoon schedule or the crowd size. · Xingrui Hot Spring Hotel in Baoding is fully equipped, so you won't have to stress about accommodation or dining. The resort even features a local cuisine restaurant with very wallet-friendly prices. · Wear anti-slip sneakers when visiting the Nanzhuangtou Ruins. Cell service is available but spotty, making it a great opportunity for a brief "digital detox." · If you run into rain or a sudden weather change, just improvise and chill in a cozy indoor café—it'll be a beautiful little interlude in your trip. 🍡 Food Recommendations You might stumble upon unassuming roadside stalls run by local grandmas selling handmade candies, freshly baked flatbreads, and regional snacks. Known as the "Pearl of North China" and nicknamed the "Venice on the Lake," it is a great place to escape the summer heat. You can wander through the maze-like reed marshes, enjoy the lotus flowers stretching to the horizon, and learn about the heroic deeds of the Yanling Team during the Anti-Japanese War. Female crabs have abundant roe, and males have rich crab fat. It is a specialty aquatic product of Baiyangdian. · Lotus Leaf Duck: A type of soy-braised duck with natural color, strong wild flavor, lean but not dry, fragrant and mellow with the fresh aroma of lotus leaves. Transportation Guide · High-speed rail: Arrive first at Baoding East Station or Xiong'an Station, then transfer by bus or taxi directly to Anxin County. · Self-driving: Navigate to "Baiyangdian Scenic Area," accessible via Jinggang'ao Expressway or Daguang Expressway. · Bus: Direct buses to Anxin are available from Beijing Liuliqiao and Tianjin West Station. Also known as Dabei Pavilion, Ciyun Pavilion is located at No. 23, North Street, Dingxing County, Baoding City, Hebei Province. It is named after the Dabei Buddha statue inside the pavilion. It was built in the 10th year of the Dade period of the Yuan Dynasty (1306) and covers an area of 150 square meters. Ciyun Pavilion faces south and is a two-story pavilion-style building with a double-eave hip roof and gray tiles. It is a brick and wood structure, with a nearly square plane, a total height of 13.3 meters, a length of 12.6 meters from north to south, and a width of 11.9 meters from east to west. The interior adopts the technique of reducing columns, and the upper and lower eaves use the technique of paving, while the combination of true and false eaves reflects the unique technique of the transition period from early to late architecture. It is a typical work of Yuan Dynasty architecture and a good example of the transition of ancient Chinese architecture from the Song Dynasty style to the Ming and Qing Dynasties style. On November 20, 1996, Ciyun Pavilion was announced as the fourth batch of national key cultural relic protection units by the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
