From the Lincoln Memorial-Washington Obelisk-Capitol Hill, It was the sacred avenue in ancient Rome that started from the Hippodrome. The same goes for both sides, There are various small squares, memorial halls and halls of fame. The last time I came to Washington, The United States is still in a tense atmosphere of counter-terrorism. Police cars were rushing by everywhere. This August I visited (for the first time) USA’s capital #washingtondc and loved it. It was only a day #trip so I walked a LOT, as all the monuments are splattered around a bigger area of nice architectures, green meadows, museums of all kinds and ponds. Tip1: bring a bottle of water, snacks and a hat Tip2: use comfortable shoes (I didn’t, hi new blisters) Tip3: visit museum for some cool exhibits (and some cooling off on AC) ad they are free
