This time, I brought my little princess to the Wachau Valley in Austria, a place as picturesque as a painting. We stayed at the Dürnstein Castle Hotel, which is not only rich in history but also fully equipped, making it perfect for a family vacation. 🏰 A fairy tale in a historic mansion Stepping into the Dürnstein Castle Hotel feels like traveling back to the Middle Ages. The hotel is located in the center of Dürnstein, surrounded by the beautiful Wachau Valley and ancient monastery churches. The hotel itself is a historic mansion, with every brick and tile revealing traces of time. Walking down the corridors, you can almost hear echoes of history, sparking your imagination about the stories that once unfolded here. 🏊‍♀️ Abundant leisure facilities to relax your body and mind The leisure facilities at this hotel are amazing! There’s both an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool, plus a sauna to unwind. Our family of three spent a wonderful afternoon at the outdoor pool, with sunlight sparkling on the water and a gentle breeze, making us feel completely relaxed. In the evening, we visited the sauna and enjoyed a steam session, leaving us feeling refreshed and renewed. 🍽️ A food lover’s paradise, a feast for the taste buds The hotel has two restaurants, and we especially recommend the Schloss Restaurant. The menu blends traditional Austrian cuisine with modern creative dishes, each one leaving a lasting impression. We also tried the in-room dining service during certain hours, which was incredibly convenient for enjoying delicious meals without stepping out. The breakfast is particularly noteworthy—served from 7 to 10 a.m., the continental breakfast offers a wide variety of breads, jams, yogurt, and hot drinks, making for a perfect start to the day. 🛋️ Comfortable rooms, a cozy home The hotel rooms are uniquely designed, each one different. Our room was equipped with a minibar and a flat-screen TV, along with free Wi-Fi and cable channels, fully meeting our entertainment needs. The bathroom amenities were complimentary, and there was a hairdryer, which was very thoughtful. The daily housekeeping service was also very attentive, making us feel as comfortable as if we were at home. 🚗 Convenient transportation for exploring the surroundings The hotel offers many convenient services, such as a free 24-hour shuttle to the ferry terminal and complimentary valet parking. From the hotel, it was easy to visit nearby Unterradlberg Bahnhof and Viehofen Bahnhof, as well as the Wachau Valley and the ruins of Dürnstein Castle. These places are definitely worth a visit, with breathtaking scenery that makes you want to linger. In short, the Dürnstein Castle Hotel is truly an excellent hotel, with facilities and services that satisfy every need. I had a wonderful time in Vienna On a 3 days stay here is how I got to see the best part of Vienna 1st I booked early morning flight landed at 11:35 Took a cab to the hotel Melia Vienna great choice I had my lunch as I waited to check in Later evening it rained I couldn’t go to city centre as planned I stayed indoor n had a drink at the classy lounge on 57 floor Next day I booked a trip early morning pick up this was the iteneary places Wachau valley/drustein Melk abbey Tranchkichen Salzburg Day 2 Booked a trip to Bratislava & Budapest I loved all the parts of Vienna I vovered so many beautiful site in short time those it’s tiring but exciting for 3 days trip
