2026 Ebensee Travel Guide: must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transport & travel experiences (updated in September)

I learn myself a lots from travelling. It make me active , it make myself to be patient, to be love , and be flexible, be positive all the time whatever that you have done and can be chill and easily adapt with sudden changes !!! Although, today I decided to go to Hallstattersee only , but I saw one very beautiful lake along the way and it attracted me so well even more than Hallstattersee ( a bit crowded with tourists- due to very popular) . So I took a photo of nearest train station and drop by after my Hallstattersee trip . It turn out to be very beautiful and huge famous Austria lake Traunsee . Walk from one end of the lake to the other end , along the way enjoy fresh local fish with Austria beer at the very Local shop ( obviously no Asian , no tourist 🤭🤭) . After walked for few kms ( totally forgot and enjoy walking along the lake 🤭🤭) , remember that i need to catch the train to Vienna , so look out for the nearest bus stop ( quickly download bus ticket application and buy single ticket ) and took the bus to nearest train station to catch the train to my destination. Today itself , lots of trains changes / and lots of plan changed and I find myself that , I am enjoying doing it . Self love is the best . ✨This time, I'd like to introduce and recommend Manu's Windbar, located by Lake Traunsee near Ebensee in Austria. The restaurant mainly serves a variety of burgers with fries, fried chicken wings with fries, sausages with fries, pizza, beer, coffee, soft drinks, and more💯😆 Personally, I think the best part is the breathtaking mountain scenery and the stunning view of Lake Traunsee. It’s incredibly beautiful, offering a highly relaxing and close-to-nature vibe🤣🤭 Unfortunately, it was quite windy and chilly when we visited, so we didn't spot anyone doing water sports. However, a lot of people still came here to grab a drink, chat, and just chill out😆 ✨️For our meal, we tried their signature Windbar burger with fries. The burger is loaded with a fried egg, a patty, cheese, tomato, onion, and greens, and the buns are perfectly toasted and crispy. As for the fries, I personally found them a bit too salty—perhaps I'm just not used to such bold flavors, or maybe this is the authentic local taste. But they were super crispy and had a great crunch to them🤣 My girlfriend had the Crispy Chicken burger and said the chicken fillet was incredibly tender and crunchy🤭👍 My friend ordered the Chicken wings with fries, which came with six pieces of fried chicken wings and a sweet dipping sauce🤣 Also pretty good👍 ✨️When it came to drinks: I obviously had to try their Americano, which was served with a small cinnamon biscuit. It's quite unique compared to Hong Kong, as ordering coffee in Austria usually comes with a complimentary glass of tap water🤣 ✨️Overall, the food is pretty good. Just a heads up—this restaurant is cash only and doesn't accept credit cards.
