📅 Itinerary Day 1: We arrived into Heaver quite late as my partner and I were working late. We checked into the Abbey Wing and the room was huge! Lovely hallway with a new bathroom and large bedroom. We went to King Henry VII pub and the food was incredible, I had the steak and ale pie. Day 2: Included was a full breakfast on the grounds, with a variety of drinks and food options, I had the full English with plenty of coffee and apple juice! We then made our way to the Hever grounds which were simply stunning, incredibly well kept and was very peaceful. There were tents where individuals were selling their own creations but they were very pricey! After this we went into Hever Castle itself and the tickets were free as we stayed the night, it was very historic seeing where Anne Boleyn and her family stayed! There were many different things to see such as Anne Boleyn’s room, torture devices in the Tudor times and Winston Churchill items! Overall, very very interesting! We then went into the Hever shop where we had 10% off due to the stay which was a nice added bonus! 😁 Overall, I really recommend Hever Castle! I especially enjoyed strolling through the Italian Garden, where statues and fountains created a serene atmosphere. The lakeside walk offered beautiful views and a chance to just relax and take in the surroundings. Hever Castle felt both grand and intimate, with plenty of cosy corners to explore. It is the kind of place that blends history, romance, and natural beauty, making it a perfect escape for a day in the Kent countryside.
