Freiberg travel guide and discussion

Located in Freiburg, this stunning concrete villa was designed as a part time residence for an Iranian family who spends half the year in Germany. To this end, Iranian architectural patterns were used as a guiding principle in the design, tempered by important local construction considerations such as sloping roofs to accommodate heavy rainfall. The number 4 is important Iranian architecture so the home was envisioned as 4 sectioned spaces that are interconnected by an intermediary corridor. In the western section, Fakhrmddin brick filters light into the interior space; from the gardens on the exterior, the material nods to Iranian architectural landscapes during the Safavid period. The prominent use of arches was carried into the interior design elements, including memorable kitchen chairs. #buildlocal #concrete #concretearchitecture #germanmodern #germanarchitecture #iranianesign #kidsoceanworld #themepark#zoo#nationalpark#lakes

Whenever you crave spicy Thai food like back home, you have to come here! If you're in Freiburg and craving authentic, spicy Thai food, you need to pin Chada Thai Restaurant! 🌶 Our favorite dish is the Pad Krapow (Stir-fried Basil with Basil Leaves). It's incredibly spicy and fragrant, just like eating it in Thailand. The flavors are intensely Thai, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is great. Whenever you crave Thai food, you won't be disappointed! · Location: Richard-Wagner-Str. 24, 79104 Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany · Price: Main dishes start around €11-20 (Pad Krapow around €13-18) · Atmosphere: The restaurant's decor is warm and cozy, with friendly service. #GetDiscountsWithoutRisk

💬 "Hey, guess what? I went to this café in Freiburg... and it was absolutely amazing!!!" So, the place is called Fili Kajo, or some people call it Fili Café & Bar. It's located in the old town area of Freiburg, right along a busy main street where people are constantly passing by. But once you step inside, the vibe completely changes—it's warm, cozy, and filled with the delightful aroma of coffee, reminiscent of an Italian café. I sat by the window, with clear glass offering a view of the outside. Soft sunlight streamed in, creating a gentle and soothing atmosphere. The staff were super friendly, always smiling, and even helped recommend some menu items. I started with the Lavender Latte—oh my gosh! The lavender aroma was so rich and authentic, not just a faint hint. It wasn’t overly sweet either, giving off a feeling like a gentle hug from the coffee 😂. Then I tried the Pistachio Croissant, which was perfectly filled—not too much, not too little. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—pure bliss! By evening, the café transforms into a bar—an Aperitivo Bar, to be exact. People started coming in for cocktails, enjoying a relaxed vibe. There was even a DJ playing soft lo-fi background music. I tried the Aperol Spritz and Gin & Tonic—so refreshing! Not too strong, just perfect for sipping while chatting and laughing. It was such a pleasant experience. ⸻ 📸 Every corner of the café is Instagram-worthy! They have brick-colored sofas, chic wooden tables, and amazing natural lighting. The photos I took didn’t even need editing—the lighting was just perfect. (I’ll send you the pics later, hehe.) ⸻ 💸 Prices are super reasonable. Coffee is around 3-4 euros. Pastries are about 2-4 euros. Cocktails are roughly 8-10 euros. Considering the ambiance and quality, it’s totally worth it. ⸻ 🎯 If you ever visit Freiburg, don’t miss this place! Whether you’re there for a morning coffee or evening cocktails, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy both vibes.

We went to eat at Jeju Korean Bistro 제주. Let me tell you, it's like flying to eat Korean food for real! This restaurant is decorated in a modern Korean style, looks warm and comfortable to sit in. The food here is really great, especially the Bibimbap menu, which has fragrant rice and lots of ingredients. The taste is just right, not too spicy. There's also Jimdak (Korean baked chicken) with a sweet and salty sauce that goes great with rice. There's also a Kimchi soup menu that has a rich taste and is easy to sip. The atmosphere of the restaurant is suitable for chatting with friends or having a chill date because it's not loud and the staff provides good service and pays attention to every detail. For those who like Korean food or want to try something good that's not just grilled food, this restaurant is highly recommended. The food is fresh, new, and has authentic Korean flavors. #JejuKoreanBistro #GetDiscountsWithoutLuck
