Hello everyone! I’m Henrix, a product manager at a major company who has spent 5 years traveling around the world, visiting 20 countries and over 100 cities. After years of anticipation, my North America World Cup journey finally comes to an end! The fifth and final stop is Atlanta, where I watched the England vs. Argentina semifinal! This post mainly shares my experience in Atlanta. I visited this city four years ago and only remembered it as the birthplace of Coca-Cola and a center of Black pop culture. Four years later, the World Cup brought me back, and I gained a deeper understanding of the city. Besides its unique cultural symbols, Atlanta also has a distinct city character. The Mercedes-Benz Stadium here was the best of the five stadiums I visited this trip: it has air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a roof; you can get free refills on Coke, and the food is very affordable because the owner wants to make it accessible to fans. I don’t know if I’ll have the chance to return in the future, but Atlanta has definitely left a deep impression on me this time. Had a chance to check out Georgia Tech this week and honestly, I’m obsessed—the campus is sooo beautiful! 🤩 The Georgia Tech Library in particular is next-level, with its classic red brick vibes, gorgeous staircases, and streetlights that make every pic Instagram-worthy. That blue sky and fluffy white clouds? Major mood booster!
