As a bookworm, I gotta say that I quite like the place. And that is not just because of the books, but the whole cafe as a whole. The cafe has a nice atmosphere to it, quite relax and well lit to enjoy a book or simply a coffee. Another plus point is that there is a bus stop almost in front of the cafe, so it is easy to navigate and to be found. There was so much stuff on the menu, but I just went for the normal breakfast one with bacon and eggs. It was yummy. Can't wait to visit again. I just paste the location from Google Maps. I went to the newly renovated fish market! They serve Sydney Rock Oysters, a Sydney specialty! They also serve lobster and crab. The raw oysters were small, but they were packed with flavor and I was blown away! 🥺 They also sell prepared foods, so you can eat what you buy on the terrace. They sell not only seafood, but fruit too! 🥭🍓 This time, I drove and parked in the underground parking lot. It seems to be close to the station, so if you want to enjoy a drink, I recommend taking the train. 🎵

📍 Sydney The first weekend since opening. Everyone was drawn in the same direction, crowding toward the new fish market. The area overlooking Anzac Bridge was packed with people. Tables were hard to come by, so some people sat on the stairs, and more and more people were streaming into the shops. The atmosphere truly felt like "the hottest place in Sydney right now." It was a summer day in Sydney, but everyone was still enjoying seafood outside. We bought some oysters 🦪 while watching them being shucked. The minimum purchase was six, so for six oysters it came to $17.50! To avoid the crowds, we decided to eat near the park rather than in the center of the market. This turned out to be a great decision. This side was less crowded and much quieter. Meanwhile, on the bridge side, people were taking photos while enjoying the view, or eating while looking down at their feet, and the overall impression was quite hectic. If you're looking for a view or a photo spot, then the bridge side is the place to be. If you're looking for a more relaxed dining experience, then the park side. The park side has an entrance and parking lot, but the parking lot was full on the day I visited. However, the elevator next to the parking lot is a plus. For those with strollers, the route using this elevator was always clear, which I found very convenient. Overall Impressions ✔ It's crowded, but if you choose your spot, you can still enjoy yourself. ✔ The excitement on the opening weekend was intense. ✔ If you're looking for a more relaxed experience, the park side is definitely recommended. Today was the first day of the new Sydney Fish Market. I was initially hesitant to go due to fear of crowds, but decided to leave early anyway. When I arrived around 11 am, the parking lot was surprisingly empty. Upon taking the escalator up to the market, the crowds were less than I expected, and the environment was orderly and comfortable—not the chaotic, crowded kind. The entire space is much larger than the old market, with a wide-open view. With the sea breeze, it felt like a "seaside public space," more than just a place to buy seafood. This outdoor space deserves a 90 out of 100. The ANZAC Bridge and Blackwattle Bay are perfect for postcard photos. The entire waterfront design is fantastic! The seafood inside was as good as always; in the morning, it was relatively easy to find large and fresh seafood. Prices remained the same as the old market, with no discounts or price fluctuations on the first day. Later, after 12 pm, it noticeably started to get crowded, and the market became very packed, with restaurants requiring waiting lists. I went to Boat Shed again, a place I always love because it's always been the cleanest. However, today's setup felt a bit rushed, and the service wasn't entirely satisfactory; there's room for improvement. First day's impressions: ✔️ Beautiful ✔️ Lively ❌ Not suitable for those who want a quiet meal If you're looking for photos and to experience the new landmark, now's the time to go; If you're looking for a "relaxing meal," I suggest waiting a bit. Before planning, I thought Sydney expenses would be similar to what I saw online, costing 30,000-40,000 RMB, but I only spent a little over 10,000 RMB. There's a modest gym, and most rooms offer balconies with views of the skyline. However, solo travelers should be cautious, as they might end up in a room by the elevator, stairs (and streetlight), making it impossible to open the window—an issue even on a Monday with plenty of vacancies. Despite being a returning guest, I felt overlooked. It seems smiling is a lost art, and the concept of a "returning guest" is alien here. Also, remember that you'll only secure a better rate by booking online, as calling results in a price that's double.
