Montgomery County travel guide and discussion

#postandearn 📍 Address: 920 Spring Ave, Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, USA Lynnewood Hall is an extraordinary 110-room Neoclassical mansion, once called the “Last American Versailles.” Built between 1897–1899 for industrialist Peter A.B. Widener, it features grand ballrooms, a vast art gallery, and luxurious interiors — though today it stands as a haunting reminder of past glory, now undergoing restoration. ✨ Tips: · Access is limited — tours are offered occasionally through the Lynnewood Hall Preservation Foundation (by appointment only). · Restoration is in progress; tours focus on history, architecture, and preservation efforts. · Hard hats and safe footwear are required for visiting this work-in-progress site. · Combine your visit with a stroll through historic Elkins Park or nearby Philadelphia suburbs. · Ideal for architecture lovers, history buffs, and those curious about Gilded Age America. #LynnewoodHall #GildedAgeMansion #NeoclassicalArchitecture #HiddenGemUSA #HistoricPreservation #AmericanVersailles #ArchitecturalHistory #CulturalHeritage #ElkinsPark #TravelPennsylvania#familytrip #localguides #trip
