The Shrine of the Bab in Haifa, Israel, is a sacred site for Baha'i pilgrims from around the world. This magnificent marble structure houses the remains of the Bab, the prophet-founder of the Baha'i Faith. The shrine is a magnificent structure that stands on the slopes of Mount Carmel and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. It is made of Italian Carrara marble and is adorned with intricate decorations and gold leaf. The dome of the shrine is 40 meters high and is covered with thousands of pieces of stained glass, which create a stunning effect when the sun shines through. With its stunning stained glass dome and serene gardens, the Shrine is a symbol of unity and a must-visit for spiritual seekers.

#flowerlover Haifa, on the northwestern side of Israel, lies along the Bay of Haifa overlooking the gorgeous Mediterranean Sea. The city is situated on the slopes of Mount Carmel, which is what makes this hilly city fascinating. Highlight - Wandering in Haifa, you will discover how colorful this seaside city is. People love decorating the streets, the outside of their homes and worship places with all kinds of pretty flowers. I could barely recognize what those flowers were but simply appreciating their beautiful existence and how they made everything look nicer was something I enjoyed a lot while I was exploring the city. #awesomepic #naturalwonders #urbanexplorer

The Bahai Gardens in Haifa are some of the most magnificent and impressive landmarks in Israel. The Bahá’í Faith is a monotheistic religion which emphasizes the spiritual unity of all humankind and originated in 19th-century Persia. The Garden Terraces of the Bahá’í Faith are located all around Israel, however the garden terraces around the Shrine of the Bábon Mount Carmel in Haifa are some of the most visited. The gardens comprise of a staircase of nineteen terraces extending all the way up the northern slope of Mount Carmel. The golden-domed Shrine of the Báb, the resting place of the Prophet-Herald of the Bahá’í Faith, stands on the central terrace, looking across the bay towards ‘Akko. Inner Gardens – Daily, 9am-12pm Outer Gardens- Daily, 9am-5pm #mynovgetaway

#ecotravel #Dorhabonimbeach #celebrating Dor HaBonim Beach Nature Reserve is hands down one of Israel’s most jaw-dropping coastal spots! This place is all about dramatic cliffs, wild rocky coves, and shimmering blue water that’ll totally level-up your IG feed 🤩. Nature lovers, get ready—this stretch is famous for being seriously rugged and geologically unique, so every step offers a new vibe. Located about a 30-minute drive south of Haifa, you’ll find Dor HaBonim at Route 4, between Moshav Dor and Kibbutz Nachsholim. The reserve is usually open daily from sunrise to sunset, but double-check local updates before heading out. The best part? There are hiking trails weaving along the cliffs with epic views and secret little bays perfect for a dip or chill-out sesh. Just bring water, sunscreen, and some snacks—there aren’t any shops inside the reserve, so come prepared! Trust me, if you’re looking for a wild, natural beach experience with major wow factor, Dor HaBonim is a total must. And if you want to plan a full adventure here, check out trip.com for travel tips and booking deets!

🌅 Haifa’s beaches · better than you expect Many visitors leave Haifa after just seeing the gardens, but the city’s Mediterranean coastline actually hides several high-quality public beaches. In July, the water temperature is around 26–27℃, warm enough to swim comfortably. The sun is strong but not harsh, and the sand is among the softest in northern Israel. 👇 Three must-visit beaches: 🏖️ Bat Galim beach · full of local life Located on the west side at the foot of Mount Carmel, reachable by bus or on foot from downtown. This beach has a strong local vibe—on weekends, you’ll see families spending the whole day with picnic baskets. People play beach volleyball, paddleboard, and kayak. Behind the beach is a promenade lined with mid-20th-century Bauhaus-style buildings, giving it a vintage seaside resort feel. Weekends in July (Friday afternoon to Saturday) are busier, so weekdays are recommended when the beach feels luxuriously empty. 🏝️ Dado beach · perfect for a full day of relaxation At Haifa’s southern end, this is widely recognized as the best water quality beach locally. The beach is wide, lifeguards are on duty throughout the day, and facilities are complete—showers, lockers, and sunshade rentals are all available. This beach is ideal for a “do nothing but lie down” day. Bring a book, sunscreen, and a large towel. Stay from 10 AM to 4 PM, stopping by the nearby kiosk for a popsicle—this is the authentic Haifa summer experience. ⚠️ Lifeguards at Israeli beaches have specific duty hours (usually June to October, about 7:00 AM–6:00 PM daily). Swimming outside these hours is at your own risk. Always watch for flag signals. ⛵ Port area · container yards turned art district Haifa port is more than a cargo terminal—in recent years, a large area of abandoned containers in the southern port has been transformed into art studios and exhibition spaces, creating a creative park with a strong industrial vibe. Evenings in July are the best time to visit—the sun is less intense, and the breeze through the container corridors makes it feel much cooler than downtown. There are occasional pop-up exhibitions by independent artists and small concerts, all free and casual. At night, the area lights up with colorful lights on the metal containers, creating a cyberpunk photo atmosphere. 🚡 Cable car + Stella Maris · a different way to see the sea from the mountaintop Besides the Bahá’í Gardens, Mount Carmel’s summit offers another sea view at Stella Maris Monastery. You can take the cable car from near Bat Galim beach. The one-way ride takes about 5 minutes and costs around 30 shekels (≈59 CNY). The cable car line was fully renovated in 2026, with new cabins featuring glass bottoms for sightseeing. Stella Maris is a Carmelite monastery with a cave said to be connected to the prophet Elijah. The building itself is modest, but the monastery’s viewing platform offers an incredible panorama—Haifa Bay stretches fully from left to right, including distant port cranes and cargo ships. On clear July days, you can even see the mountain outlines in Lebanon to the north. 🎭 MadaTech science museum · a perfect afternoon escape from the heat During the hottest two or three hours in July afternoons, head to MadaTech—the Israel National Museum of Science, Technology, and Space. This is not a boring museum. It’s packed with interactive exhibits, from optical illusions to mechanical principles to space simulations, fun for both adults and kids. Tickets cost about 75 shekels (≈148 CNY). Plan to spend 2–3 hours. The museum is located in the city center’s Hadar district, within walking distance from the Carmelit metro Gan HaEm station, very convenient. 🚶 Recommended city walking route If you have only one day, try this itinerary: ⏰ 9:00 Enter the Bahá’í Gardens from the upper entrance → walk down through the terraced gardens ⏰ 10:30 Exit the gardens into Wadi Nisnas → visit the open museum and street photography ⏰ 12:00 Walk to the German Colony for lunch ⏰ 2:00 Take the Carmelit or bus to Bat Galim beach ⏰ 3:00–5:00 Beach time ⏰ 5:30 Cable car up to the mountaintop to see Stella Maris and the Haifa Bay sunset ⏰ 7:30 Return to the German Colony for outdoor dinner This route covers the mountain city, gardens, old town, beach, and mountaintop views, mostly on foot with public transport support, at a comfortable pace. 🛏️ Accommodation choice logic The key to choosing accommodation in Haifa depends on your itinerary focus: 🔹 Focus on beaches and port → choose Bat Galim or the lower city near the sea, within 5 minutes’ walk to the beach 🔹 Focus on gardens and cultural sites → choose Mount Carmel mid-slope or Hadar district, within walking distance to the Bahá’í Gardens, Wadi Nisnas, and MadaTech 🔹 Early departure next day → choose near a train station. Haifa has four train stations, so confirm your departure station before booking July is peak season. Book at least three weeks in advance. Weekend (Friday and Saturday) prices are 30%–50% higher than weekdays. 📋 Quick practical info Item Details Beach season June–October, lifeguards on duty 7:00 AM–6:00 PM Bat Galim Free / downtown accessible / full local amenities Dado beach Free / best water quality / ideal for all-day lounging Port art district Free / best at dusk and night Cable car About 30 shekels / 5 min one way / glass-bottom cabins MadaTech About 75 shekels / allow 2–3 hours Summer sunset About 7:40–8:00 PM Sabbath transport Haifa buses run on Sabbath (rare in Israel) 🔑 Final small but important tips → Israel’s summer days are very long, with daylight lasting past 8 PM, so you can plan flexibly → Haifa is one of the few major Israeli cities where public transport runs during the Sabbath (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset), which is very convenient for independent travelers → Use Gett for taxis and always confirm the meter starts at zero when you get in → Tap water in Haifa is drinkable but hard. If you mind the taste, buy bottled water. A 2-liter bottle costs about 12 shekels → Overall, Israel is safe for tourists, but it’s recommended to carry a copy of your passport What makes this city special is that it never rushes you. The mountain is climbed slowly, the sea is watched slowly, and the gardens are walked down step by step. Visiting Haifa in July means slowing your pace—that’s the right way to experience it 🌊

A wonderful gallery! It's huge with an amazing sense of space that allows you to step back or get up close to the terrific pieces. It serves as a striking reminder that people, regardless of the era, are often preoccupied with "stuff." Extremely fascinating, and my only regret is not having enough time to see everything. My advice: visit in the morning and dedicate the whole day to exploring.

📍 Place: Haifa, Israel. ✨ What it felt like: I loved how every travel style still lets you experience the city's relaxed coastal atmosphere. Walking through the gardens, enjoying local cafés, and watching the Mediterranean from above felt rewarding no matter the budget. 👀 What stood out: The budget option focuses on affordable local food, buses, walking, and free attractions like scenic viewpoints and the Bahá’í Gardens. Mid-range travelers can enjoy boutique stays, café hopping, beaches, and the cable car while keeping spending reasonable. For a luxury escape, sea-view hotels, private transport, gourmet dining, and sunset experiences add extra comfort without losing the city's charm. 💡 Exclusive tip: Stay in the German Colony or Carmel Center if possible. Both areas make it easy to reach viewpoints, cafés, public transport, and many of the city's main attractions while reducing travel time. ❤️ Personal feeling: Haifa feels like the kind of place where I could slow down, enjoy a long coffee with a sea view, and end the day watching the sunset without feeling rushed. It's a destination that rewards both careful budgeting and a little indulgence. #Haifa #Israel #TripMoments #BudgetTravel #LuxuryTravel #Mediterranean #CityBreak #TravelPlanning #travel2026#travel#couplestrip#thingstodo#citydaytours

My partner and I sought a luxurious, private experience away from crowded tour groups, and Slava absolutely delivered. Over three days, we explored the Galilee and Golan Heights, stopping at breathtaking lookout points and unique boutique wineries he recommended that were off the usual tourist trail. His deep knowledge as a licensed guide was clear—he knows every shortcut and all the historical details of landmarks like Capernaum and Magdala. We especially appreciated the relaxed pace; it never felt rushed. Slava's impeccable private transportation was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Visiting the Bahá’í Gardens in Haifa with him was an unforgettable highlight for us. A truly tailored service perfect for couples seeking privacy and expert local insights.

Hifa is cute

#hellonewyear Haifa surprised me in the most beautiful way. I spent time walking along the main street with a glass of wine in hand, and the whole city felt cozy and alive — especially with the Christmas tree lights giving everything that warm winter sparkle. 🎄✨ There’s something special about Haifa at night: it’s calm but not sleepy, and you feel the mix of cultures in the air. And then… the view. The Baha’i Gardens are truly one of the most iconic sights in Israel. These terraced gardens climb up Mount Carmel in perfect symmetry, and even if you only see them from the street, they look unreal — like a glowing staircase of green and light. 🌿🌟 The gardens are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and they’re considered the spiritual center of the Baha’i Faith. This combination is what makes Haifa unforgettable: city life, holiday atmosphere, and breathtaking beauty all in one frame. 🤍 #Haifa #Israel #yanaberg_israel

We had a truly inspiring experience at this museum! The collection is extensive, featuring many pieces that held our attention for several minutes. While the historical explanations tended to skim over topics like the effects of colonialism, it was still an enjoyable outing overall.

Israel is truly a treasure! It boasts the ancient port city of Jaffa with a history spanning thousands of years, the holy city of Jerusalem sacred to three religions (covered in a separate article), the stunning Bahá'í Gardens in Haifa, and the magnificent views of the Sea of Galilee. It is rich in historical and cultural heritage as well as beautiful natural scenery, mysterious and full of charm. ✨Must-visit attractions: 📍Jaffa Old City (Tel Aviv) An ancient port city in Israel that you must visit, with cobblestone alleys full of charm! The old town’s artist studios and antique shops are great to explore. It’s recommended to come in the evening to watch the breathtaking Mediterranean sunset here🌅 📍Bahá'í Gardens (Haifa) A 19-level terraced garden built on a hillside, stunningly beautiful! The golden-domed shrine sparkles under the sun, and you can overlook the entire Haifa port from the viewing platform. Remember to wear comfortable shoes as there are many stairs to climb👟 📍Sea of Galilee Israel’s main water source and largest freshwater lake. The lake’s history dates back a long time, and according to the New Testament, many of Jesus’ miracles happened here, including walking on water. Take a boat tour to watch the sunrise and visit the lakeside church ruins. 📍Caesarea Located between Haifa and Tel Aviv, it’s a hidden gem of a small city! 🏛️ Here you can find architectural ruins from the time of King Herod, including baths, plaza entrances, and restaurants, as if traveling back to ancient Rome! 📍Tel Aviv White City A Bauhaus-style architectural district in the center of Tel Aviv. 🏛️ The buildings here are full of artistic atmosphere and historical cultural charm, strolling through the streets feels like being in a palace of art! 🍴Food recommendations: Ali Karavan, an Arab restaurant in Jaffa Old City Must-try: hummus, falafel, grilled meat platter HaBasta seafood restaurant in Haifa The most popular seafood restaurant by the Tel Aviv seaside, remember to book in advance ⚠️Useful tips: 1. Summers in Israel are very hot, remember to bring sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses 2. Most attractions are closed from Friday afternoon to Saturday (Sabbath) 3. The Bahá'í Gardens require guided tours inside, so it’s recommended to check the schedule in advance

Jews say, "They vacation in Tel Aviv, pray in Jerusalem, and work in Haifa." But once you actually arrive in Haifa, you have to declare that Haifa is not a boring city! Nestled between mountains and sea, it’s stunningly beautiful. When you come here, you absolutely cannot miss the Bahá'í Gardens, a religious site listed as a World Heritage Site. It’s not just a garden; it’s the global headquarters of the Bahá'í Faith (the Faith of the Oneness of Humanity) and a visual expression of the doctrine "World Unity, Coexistence of All Things." 🌿 The Timeless "Symmetry Aesthetic" Masterpiece The garden is built on Mount Carmel, backed by mountains and facing the sea, with a magnificent presence. The most striking feature is its almost rigorous symmetry aesthetic. ✅ 19 Terraces: The garden stretches 1 kilometer with a vertical height of 225 meters, composed of 19 massive terraced platforms. ✅ Ultimate Order: A white marble central axis runs through the entire garden, with lawns, trees, pools, and sculptures symmetrically arranged on both sides with perfect precision. This geometric sense of order truly brings inner peace and can cure obsessive-compulsive tendencies in an instant. ✅ Visual Feast: Standing on the viewing platform, you overlook a lush green carpet and a riot of colorful flowers, with the deep blue Mediterranean Sea in the distance, like a real-life "Hanging Gardens." 🏛️ The Golden Dome Shrine At the center of the garden is the Shrine of Bahá’u’lláh. The golden hemispherical dome is the soul of the entire garden! It sits atop a creamy white shrine, shining brilliantly under the sun, looking from afar like a dazzling jewel embedded on the hillside. It is said that the dome’s tiles are gilded, luxurious and sacred. 🕊️ Symbol of Spirituality and Unity The core teaching of the Bahá'í Faith is "The Earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens." Here, you can feel a sense of inclusiveness that transcends religion. Elements from different cultures and faiths blend perfectly here—you can even see a bronze tripod from the Qianlong era of China, along with various Persian and European garden styles. This is not only an architectural marvel but also a perfect embodiment of their "World Unity" philosophy. 💡 Travel Tips Visiting Restrictions: The garden’s main central axis (the middle path) is usually only open to Bahá'í followers. Ordinary visitors can enjoy panoramic views from the viewing platforms on either side or walk along the public trail at the foot of the mountain, which still offers excellent views.

After 10 years, I came to Israel for the second time. Unlike last time, this trip was with a business delegation to explore Israeli enterprises and cutting-edge technology, which gave me a deeper impression of Israel: Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, the historically contested "Holy City." Some say if the world has ten parts of beauty, nine are in Jerusalem. From the Old City, the Western Wall, to the cemeteries, every place reveals traces of history and a solemn religious atmosphere, bringing an indescribable sense of profound change. Tel Aviv, the former capital of Israel and home to most embassies. Interestingly, this city is extremely open and inclusive, full of creativity and vitality, and is home to many world-class companies. The Mediterranean beaches stretch endlessly, countless cafes abound, filled with bikini-clad and energetic young people playing soccer, volleyball, and running on the beach—a thriving scene that even surpasses most European cities in vibrancy. The annual Pride Parade in June attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors. Haifa has a local saying: pray in Jerusalem, have fun in Tel Aviv, work (or live) in Haifa. It is home to the famous Bahá'í Gardens, which are very photogenic. It’s worth mentioning that I specifically asked locals about how they educate their children. Parents rarely tell their kids what to do but instead inspire creativity based on the children’s own ideas and interests. Israelis are famously fond of reading; almost every household has a bookshelf, and some families don’t even have a TV but have huge bookshelves. Schools also place great emphasis on sports. Finally, a rough itinerary for traveling in Israel: 1. Tel Aviv is usually the first international arrival point. Don’t miss the beaches, stroll along Rothschild Boulevard to experience modern architecture and culture, and visit the ancient city of Jaffa, which has a very long history; 2. In Haifa, the main attraction is the Bahá'í Gardens, best photographed from above; 3. In Jerusalem, it’s recommended to walk the 14 Stations of the Cross in order. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is very impressive; the Western Wall is a must-visit, freely accessible—just bring a small cap and leave a little note for God. If you’re mentally prepared, you can visit the Holocaust Memorial Museum; 4. Masada, about 60 kilometers from Jerusalem, was the last fortress of the ancient Kingdom of Israel. The story is very moving. It’s located by the Dead Sea. After visiting, you can soak in the Dead Sea, which appeared in our textbooks. The seawater is rich in salt and minerals, attracting many overseas tourists for vacation, and there are many resorts nearby. At the Holocaust Memorial Museum, the guide spoke calmly and narratively. He first mentioned that we Chinese were also victims and that during World War II, China was the only place that accepted Jewish refugees, who remain deeply grateful. A local friend of mine found his grandmother’s and father’s names on the final death list. When he talked with the museum guide, he spoke about which concentration camp his ancestors had been in—this was very painful for me because every ordinary person carries their own past sorrows.

✨ Did you know? On Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel, there is a stair-step garden more dreamy than a fairy tale—the Bahá'í Gardens! 🌿 19 terraced levels built along the mountain Stretching from the foot to the summit Symmetrical flower beds, sculptures, and fountains Each level surrounded by flowers, green trees, and flowing water Like a palette spilled by the gods 💫 This place is not only a World Heritage Site But also a spiritual sanctuary of the Bahá'í faith The golden-domed shrine at the center is serene and solemn Whether or not you follow a religion You can feel rare peace and harmony here 📸 Recommended photo spots: 1️⃣ Summit viewing platform: Overlooking Haifa Port and the Mediterranean Sea 2️⃣ In front of the golden-domed shrine: Perfect for symmetrical compositions 3️⃣ Central staircase: Capture stunning shots of the "Stairway to Heaven" 4️⃣ At dusk: When the garden lights turn on, it looks like a flowing galaxy 🌅 Best experience: It is recommended to join the free guided tour (reservation required on the official website) Come at dusk to see the sunset gild the garden edges Sit quietly on a bench and listen to the wind rustling through the cypress trees 📍 Address: Haifa, Israel ⏰ Opening hours: Gardens open daily, internal buildings open only at certain times 🎫 Admission: Free

The Baháʼí Gardens are located on Mount Carmel in Haifa, a northern city on Israel's Mediterranean coast. This holy site is centered around the Shrine of the Báb, the prophet-herald of the Baháʼí Faith, and includes 18 terraced gardens built into the hillside, as well as buildings such as the Universal House of Justice and the Centre for the Study of Texts. The entire garden complex features strong Persian influences, but also incorporates the styles of Indian and European gardens. The gardens extend approximately 1 kilometer from the top of the mountain to its base, with a vertical drop of 225 meters and a maximum slope of 63 degrees. The central staircase is flanked by lush green lawns, flowers, trees, and sculptures. The World Heritage Committee believes that the devout atmosphere presented by the Baháʼí Holy Places purifies the hearts of visitors and perfectly embodies the spirit of the holy site. Coupled with its unique design built into the mountain, it was therefore inscribed as a World Cultural Heritage site. Every year, thousands of pilgrims from all over the world come here to pray, meditate, chant, and visit other Baháʼí holy places in the shrine. From the top of the gardens, you can overlook the Mediterranean scenery of Haifa city and Haifa Port.

#hellohalloween Haifa, Akkon, and Bet Sche’arim in Northern District, Israel, offer a fascinating blend of culture, history, and coastal charm. Haifa shines with its stunning hillside views over the Mediterranean and the magnificent Bahai Gardens, a masterpiece of tranquility. The city’s diversity is reflected in its cafés, art, and friendly atmosphere. A short drive away, Akkon (Acre) enchants with its ancient walls, underground passages, and bustling markets that seem frozen in time. Walking through its port feels like stepping into a living history book. Bet Sche’arim adds a deeper layer of heritage with its ancient catacombs and Jewish archaeological treasures, telling stories from centuries past. Together, these three destinations capture the essence of Northern Israel, a mix of natural beauty, historical richness, and genuine warmth that makes every visit memorable.

Wow its woow

#Haifa Haifa surprised me. It’s not loud like Tel Aviv or ancient like Jerusalem — it’s calm, layered, and quietly beautiful. Where the mountains meet the sea, and the Baháʼí Gardens spill down the hillside like a dream. I found peace in its hidden cafés, kindness in strangers, and meaning in moments I didn’t expect. It’s a city where cultures blend, where sunsets feel slower, and where you remember that not every place needs to shout to leave an impression. Haifa isn’t trying to impress — it just is. And maybe that’s why it stays with you. 🇮🇱🌊🌿

#July Travel Support Event Haifa, a Mediterranean city in Israel. The sunset seen from Haifa is so beautiful. It is one of the three largest cities in Israel and has a large port that is a port of call for cruises. It takes 1 hour from Tel Aviv and has a port and beach, so you can swim in the sea.

#July Travel Support Event Baha'i Gardens, where you can overlook Haifa at a glance. There are entrance times, so if you are too early or too late, you cannot enter. They say it is a temple of the Baha'i religion, but regardless of religion, the garden is beautifully decorated and the view is amazing.

#July Travel Support Event Haifa, the third largest city in Israel. It is the center of commerce and industry and Israel's most important gateway to the Mediterranean Sea. It is where Mount Carmel and the Israeli coastal plain meet, and the coastal area is divided into a port, a residential area on the hill, and an educational and commercial area on the top of Mount Carmel. Until the Crusades, it was unable to develop in the shadow of the northern city of Akko, but it prospered as a modern port city starting in 1918 under the British trusteeship.
