It also boasts one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the world, featuring over 300 types of edible plants. La Motte A charming and very sophisticated winery in Franschhoek. Owned by the Rupert family, who also own the Cartier brand, this winery exudes style in every detail! Vergenoegd Löw Wine Estate Too adorable to miss! The ceremonial goose parade to the vineyards happens at 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. The geese are not just for show; they are an eco-friendly way to combat pests, eating all the snails and sparing the grapes from chemicals. When I left Cape Town last year, I never expected to be back so soon. Life is full of surprises 🥰 So you always come back to the places you love, right? Landing in 25-degree Cape Town spring weather with a down jacket from the Northern Hemisphere, the warm breeze from the Atlantic and Indian Oceans swept away the fatigue of the long flight. The dazzling sunlight made it hard to open my eyes, everything felt so familiar ☀️ This business trip is busy, and free time is very limited, so right after work I headed straight to Table Mountain, which I couldn’t climb last year because the cable car was closed due to strong winds. 🚡 The cable car ascends while rotating 360 degrees, even opening a small window on one side, offering an unobstructed view of Signal Hill, Lion’s Head on one side, and the coastline and Cape Town Peninsula on the other. It’s currently Cape Town’s spring break, so remember to buy cable car tickets online in advance to save waiting time (💰450 Rand round trip). 🏔️ A quick walk around Table Mountain takes about half an hour; if you have more time, you can hike to Lion’s Head. The view from the top is incredibly wide, with a clear sight of “Robben Island.” The Atlantic coastline resembles the blue coast of Nice, blending sea and sky 🌊. At the summit, you can also see dassies, their big round eyes watching the visitors. Along the way, you’ll see neatly shaped sandstone and shale cliffs, and the vast flat Table Mountain — this is truly God’s dining table. The wind at the top is strong enough to blow you away, though it’s slightly less fierce than at the Cape of Good Hope. Despite the strong wind, the shrubs’ flowers 🌼 are blooming vigorously, competing in beauty — such tenacious life! I looked it up; these are fynbos shrubs (never heard of them before 😂), and Table Mountain is home to over 9,000 unique flowers and plants. In an instant, ☁️ clouds drifted over and covered the top of Table Mountain — God’s tablecloth is laid out, so magical! After descending, I took a taxi to the waterfront, watching the majestic Table Mountain from afar as night gradually fell. Best place to have fun in Europe’s winter? Fly to the Southern Hemisphere! Spend an extended weekend in the southwest of South Africa, Cape Town + Stellenbosch 1. Attractions 1a. Cape Town attractions: There are many places to visit in Cape Town, including popular spots and many less crowded but beautiful scenic areas. Divided by distance into several sections: - Seapoint area + Camps Bay beach + Clifton Bay beach + Waterfront area - City center such as Long Street + Table Mountain + Signal Hill - Chapmans Peak Drive + Hout Bay to see seals 🦭 - Boulders Beach to see penguins 🐧 + Cape of Good Hope - Strand Bay to see the endless beach - ... 1b. Stellenbosch attractions: Mainly the town center + surrounding wineries. There are many wineries, including the famous Graff Delaire Estate 1c. Other Cape Town surroundings: Betty’s Bay beach also has penguins 🐧 / Hermanus for whale watching by boat 🐋 / Gansbaai for shark cage diving 🦈 / Agulhas, the southernmost tip of the African continent (Cape of Good Hope is more famous but not the southernmost point) 2. Itinerary: Stayed a total of 4 nights, 2 nights in Seapoint area - 1 night in Stellenbosch - 1 night in Strand Bay area; arrived in Cape Town Friday morning - left Cape Town Tuesday noon - Friday: Picked up the car and checked in at Protea Seapoint to catch up on sleep & Camps Bay was one of the places I most wanted to see before the trip & Seapoint area but there’s not much to explore there - Saturday: Strolled around the Waterfront shopping district and weekend market & Boulders Beach & Cape of Good Hope; originally planned to go to Table Mountain but the cable car didn’t run due to strong winds, so didn’t go. Also didn’t hike up to avoid being blown into the Atlantic/Indian Ocean - Sunday: Drove to Stellenbosch and checked in at Spier winery, basically enjoyed beautiful winery tours, wine tasting, photos, gardens, and dinner - Monday: Visited Stellenbosch town center but it’s small & went to Graff winery for wine tasting, a very low-cost way to look fancy & in the evening returned to southeast Cape Town, checked in at Lord Charles, then went to a beachside restaurant in Strand Bay + beach walk - Tuesday: Checked out, returned the car, and said goodbye 3. Accommodation & transportation: For Cape Town city, recommended to stay in Seapoint/Waterfront for safety; many winery hotel options in Stellenbosch; renting a car is very convenient. Although driving on the right side, it went very smoothly, and Uber is convenient in the city 4. Pitfalls: City center can be a bit risky / ATM swallowed my card / traffic jams during peak hours were terrible / prepare small change for parking fees and tips, 10 ZAR is enough Summary: Very beautiful, highly recommend!

No one should visit South Africa without going on safari. First, you need to decide what natural reserve to choose. The best so far is considered to be Kruger National Park, and it’s the biggest one and the most popular among tourists. 🖍️Two points you need to know before going there: 1.
