I went twice before the pandemic, and it seemed like the dads were having more fun than the kids. They kept asking me to take photos for them. As the pandemic has calmed down a bit, I went during Golden Week. The admission fee has gone up, but I think it's a little nicer and there are more animals. The paintings have gotten better and there is more variety. I recommend seeing the elephants who can play hula hoop and soccer.

At Kazusakubo Station, marked by the large ginkgo tree, there is a hotel directly connected to the station, or rather the platform! Kominato Waiting Room is located right next to Goi Station. You can get a close-up view of the Kominato Railway from inside the store or from the terrace outside. Yoro Valley is one of Chiba Prefecture's leading hot spring areas, located almost in the center of the Boso Peninsula. The valley is dotted with several waterfalls and is also famous as a power spot. In the fall, it is crowded with many people who come to see the autumn leaves and waterfalls. Kannon Bridge over the Yoro River leads upstream to Otaki Town, where several waterfalls can be seen. A staircase leading from Kannon Bridge through a tunnel leads to the grounds of Rikkokuji Temple, which is about 20 to 30 meters higher than the bridge. It is easily accessible from Tokyo, so you can definitely enjoy Chiba's hot springs. It takes about an hour to get there from Tokyo on the Aqua Line. Various animals such as capybaras, peacocks, and deer roam the zoo. You can feed them all. There is also a place called Giraffe Terrace where you can feed the giraffes. We took a short trip to Chiba! Ichihara Elephant Kingdom Like its name, the zoo was filled with elephants! In addition to elephants, there were other animals in the zoo, and we were able to get up close and personal with the animals, which made for a really fun time! However, the price was quite high compared to other zoos, which was a bit of a downside. For lunch, I had a tempura bowl at a restaurant called Yamayo. It was delicious and reasonably priced, so I'd love to stop by again if I have the chance to go to Chiba again. It's quite difficult to get around, so it might be difficult without a car, but there are plenty of other attractions to explore, so I'm looking forward to it! #ampmhk #domestictravel #chiba #zoo

The golf courses in Japan are truly amazing and cheaper than in Taiwan. The greens are in excellent condition, and the fairways are very comfortable. The only downside is that if you don't have a caddie, you have to get used to carrying your own clubs. The food is also delicious. They take cooking seriously, which is fantastic. I played at three courses this time: New Nanso Golf, Kurabu Golf, Chuo Tsuru Country Club, and Zozo Championship's Queen course. All of them were surprisingly great.

Chiba Prefecture is probably the first stop for most people arriving in Japan. It's also considered Japan's most important gateway. Tokyo Narita Airport is located in Chiba Prefecture, not Tokyo City. Just like arriving in Taipei by plane, your first stop is Taoyuan, not Taipei City. Of course, Chiba is also part of the Tokyo metropolitan area. The area closest to Tokyo is called Central Chiba. This urban area is essentially integrated with Tokyo's living system. Every day, many residents commute to Tokyo for work and school on the Keisei Electric Railway, Sobu-Chuo, and Keiyo lines. Chiba City is also bustling, with numerous shopping malls and department stores, and the station square is bustling with people. But Chiba is actually quite large. Beyond the densely populated Central Chiba, Sawara and Choshi to the north offer rural and small-town scenery. The Uchibo area on Tokyo Bay is home to numerous factories, docks, and towns. The Sotobo area, situated on the Pacific Ocean, is a popular destination for many residents of the Kanto region for water activities or leisurely trips. There's also the Boso Crossroads Railway, which connects the Uchibo area to the Sotobo area. This line, jointly operated by the Kominato Railway and the Isumi Railway, dates back to the days of the National Railways. There's also the Kururi Line, the only non-electrified line in the Tokyo metropolitan area. There are two important reasons for visiting Chiba. The Kominato Railway, already mentioned, operates very old, classic diesel trains, including the Kominato Railway Kiha 200-type electric trains, some of which are nearly 70 years old. Though located in the Tokyo metropolitan area, it's only a 30-40 minute drive away. You can discover a small town that feels like it's been frozen in time in the 1970s. The Kominato Railway Café, located next to Godon Station, is beautifully decorated. Be sure to visit it while waiting for your train. Another reason I decided to travel to Chiba was because I wasn't originally into anime. My friend recommended a few school romance shows to me, and one of them really caught my eye: "Yahari Myojin no Seishun Rakume ha Machigatiru." The entire story, locations, and school setting of "Guaqing" (Ganqing) are all set in Chiba. Therefore, this trip included many special locations in downtown Chiba, such as Sobu High School, the overpass under the national highway, Chiba Tower, and Makuhari Beach. Suggested Itinerary Nara Day Trip (Departing from Osaka) 1. Arrive at Kintetsu Nara Station → Proceed to Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Nara Park to feed the deer and stroll. 2. Visit the Great Buddha Hall at Todai-ji Temple and soak up the majestic atmosphere. 3. Stroll to the Five-Storied Pagoda of Kofuku-ji Temple and Sarusawa Pond, then visit the Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten and Tomoko Shopping Street. 4. I looked towards the lake, but where is it? I couldn't find it. I thought it was near the shrine, but... I took a walk based on the angle and scenery posted on social media It was the boat dock on the opposite side of the shrine. The torii gate submerged in the lake, the reflecion, and the bridge were just right.
