The decorations are beautiful and full of character. The pool is large, includes a jacuzzi, and with few rooms in the property, you often find yourself enjoying it alone—total bliss. There's always enough space on the loungers, no rush to secure one. The breakfast spreads are well-stocked, and the staff is very cheerful. The lush surroundings remain green even during a heatwave, and the central location in Inca is perfect for exploring the island.

The accommodation is stunning, incredibly quiet, and very well-maintained. Even though it's located right next to the highway, the moment you step through the gate, it's peaceful and wonderfully green. We felt completely at ease! The room was lovely, the hosts were extremely kind, the breakfast was good, and the pool was perfect for swimming or relaxing. We'd love to come back!

My husband and I went on the 4D/3N luxury Inca Trail trek in July 2026, and it was absolutely incredible. I highly recommend this trip! Alpaca and our guides, Jean Carlos and Romario, managed every detail flawlessly. Here are some insights from our experience: · **Luxury Tour:** This was a pricier option, but as it was a birthday celebration and a bucket list trip, we chose to indulge—mainly for the daily massages, hot showers, and cots for sleeping. These extras, along with the beautifully decorated dining arrangements and gourmet meals, elevated the trek. The meals were generous, though slightly smaller portion sizes would have been better. While all the extras weren’t necessary, the massages, showers, and cots were absolutely worth it. · **Group vs. Private:** We initially thought we’d join a group but learned that luxury tours are private (noted on the site, though I misread). This meant a dedicated staff team for just the two of us, which felt a bit odd initially. However, the guides assured us that the staff enjoy their work, and we truly appreciated their efforts. While we’d anticipated connecting with a group, we enjoyed the privacy, getting to know our guides, and moving at our own pace. · **Weather:** We were fortunate to have perfect weather! Warm days and cold nights, with no rain. The views were stunning, though we did have one overcast day in the cloud forest, which was still beautiful and refreshing. I was concerned about the cold nights, but wearing layers and having warm water bottles from the guides made sleeping comfortable. · **Packing:** Alpaca provides a detailed packing list, and we used everything on it. If you’re considering skipping anything marked ‘optional,’ don’t! It all proved useful. · **Money:** We brought tipping cash and a small amount of spending money. I wish we’d had more coins, as change for restroom use was tricky, though our guides helped us out when needed. Small bills were also useful for markets along the trail. · **The Trek:** Although it was a luxury tour, the hike itself remained tough. The luxury option provided different, scenic campsites, allowing for one summit on day 2 instead of a longer route. It was physically demanding yet breathtaking, and I’m so glad we did it. While we exercise regularly and are in decent shape, some parts were still challenging. That said, we saw others of varying fitness levels managing well. · **Guides:** Our guides were phenomenal, and the private Machu Picchu tour was a perfect conclusion to this unforgettable journey. This truly was a trip of a lifetime, and I can’t recommend Alpaca highly enough!

I traveled with my family of five and had an incredible time on the 6-night / 7-day Salkantay to Inca trek. Alpaca made the journey absolutely unforgettable for all of us. We were deeply grateful for our amazing guide, Fernando, as well as the porters and chef who accompanied us throughout. The kindness and humility of the Alpaca crew truly elevated the experience. The food was fantastic, everything was well-organized, and the trip was highly informative. I wish I could go back tomorrow!

Sa Calobra is a lovely experience if you're up for the long trip. The lighting is stunning, and all the photos really capture its beauty. We got there quite late in the day, so it was delightfully quiet with only a few people around. It's likely best to visit in the late afternoon or evening, though keep in mind the restaurants (mostly tourist traps) might already be closed by then. For those starting from Palma, I strongly recommend taking the Inca/Caimari route. We mistakenly went via the Sollér route, which was full of hairpin twists, blind spots, and narrow, cliffside roads. At one point, we narrowly squeezed past a tourist bus, and even passing regular cars was tough at times—especially tricky if you're driving a larger vehicle. Although your GPS might suggest the Sollér route as faster and shorter, don't be fooled. The Caimari route offers much better, wider, and newer roads. Your passengers will still enjoy breathtaking views, while you'll get to focus on not sliding off the cliffs!

We had an amazing stay here. The hotel is run by a lovely couple who made us feel more like family than guests right from the start. Every detail was spot on. The food was fantastic, the rooms were stunning, and the pool was incredible — but the standout feature was the exceptional hospitality. The service surpassed any large chain hotel we’ve ever experienced. They go above and beyond to ensure you’re comfortable and cared for. What moved us the most was their genuine care for their guests. Susan even went out of her way to drive to Inca for a prescription I needed. That level of warmth and personal attention is so rare these days. If you're looking for exceptional service, wonderful accommodations, and people who truly care, this is the place. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

Alright, as soon as Datong returned, I went to preview the upcoming Ancient American Civilizations exhibition at the Shanghai Museum. It’s truly grand and impressive, with teasers appearing months ago. · Let’s first talk briefly about the Shanghai Museum’s "Dialogue with the World" series. This aspect seems to have been largely overlooked, but it’s actually worth discussing more than the exhibition itself due to its strong sense of order and structure. · There are quite a few exhibitions in China focusing on civilizations, but most of them are rather superficial, pieced together in a patchwork manner, leaving little lasting impression. From last year’s phenomenal Ancient Egypt exhibition to this sixth installment of the series on the Americas, the Shanghai Museum doesn’t just randomly import exhibits. Instead, it consciously uses global artistic mediums to build a framework, systematically organizing content about civilizations that people are interested in. Egypt focused on eternal life, while the Americas focus on faith. Each exhibition enriches the public’s understanding of human civilization. This sense of order alone significantly enhances the connection visitors feel during the exhibition. · Now, about this American exhibition—after seeing the entire show, one thing is clear: you should set aside an entire afternoon to explore it slowly. If you have more time, even a full day would be ideal. The content is incredibly rich, featuring works from core regions of the Americas such as the Maya, Aztec, Olmec, and Inca civilizations. Many of the pieces are leaving their home countries for the first time, showcasing the civilizations’ profound reverence for the sun. Museu del Calçat i de la Indústria is a technical museum situated near Inca, a town found in the central part of Mallorca Island in the Balearic Islands. It's a fascinating place to visit if you're keen on understanding the history and factories of the area. Specifically, it focuses on footwear factories, which gained worldwide recognition in the last century. During your tour, you can explore the shoe manufacturing process, view different types of footwear, and examine machinery used in production. Highly engaging!

The 5-day, 4-night trek was truly the trip of a lifetime! From the pre-trek briefing to the guided tour of Machu Picchu, we were exceptionally well cared for. The company was very helpful and always easy to reach when we had questions before the trip. The food was incredible, and the accommodations were excellent too. Museu del Calçat i de la Indústria is situated in Inca, one of Mallorca Island’s significant towns. This museum offers insight into the town's and island's key industry—footwear. Essentially, it’s a technical museum showcasing various shoe types made in the town and the machinery involved in their production. It truly provides a fascinating glimpse into Inca’s history.

The atmosphere radiated by the agritourism is fantastic, with the beautifully renovated old finca thoughtfully decorated, both indoors and in the gardens. The host and hostess are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Thank you Maria and Xavier, and hopefully see you again soon!

Mercantil Polígono is a bar/restaurant situated in an industrial area near Inca, a key town on Mallorca Island. We visited to try the variat, a traditional Majorcan dish combining various tapas, and it was truly excellent. Every tapas was fantastic. The place is very cozy, and the owner is extremely friendly. I enjoyed my time here so much that I invited my friends to visit and try the dish as well. I also had rooibos tea and hope to return soon to enjoy the variat again!

We had an amazing one-week stay at Sa Vinya des Convent and wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful hotel. It truly is a peaceful sanctuary, ideal for relaxation and unwinding. We stayed in Room 3, which felt like a dream—charmingly designed, cozy, and full of character. Every morning, we eagerly anticipated the delightful breakfast, featuring authentic Mallorcan specialties that started our day perfectly. A wonderful property within walking distance to the town of Inca. While you can hear some traffic noise when outside, we didn’t find it bothersome. On the plus side, it's just a short walk to the nearest bus stop, train station, supermarket, and the city center. We stayed in the small apartment next to the main house. Though it doesn't have a private terrace, there are countless outdoor seating options available. Daily cleaning is provided. The breakfast each morning was simply fantastic. You can clearly feel the love Maria and her brother put into running this agriturismo. They are both incredibly helpful and kind. Thank you so much! We'd book it again in a heartbeat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay. From the moment we arrived to the day we left, we felt genuinely welcomed and exceptionally cared for. I was worried because there weren't many Korean reviews, but after seeing the photos, I couldn't help but book! 📍Location Located in the Inca region, it's about a 30-minute drive from Palma Airport and downtown. You can also visit the small towns of Valldemossa and Sóller in Mallorca, both within a 30-minute drive!! 💲Price It was around 200,000 won per night! Breakfast was included, and I booked a Junior Terrace Room. ✅ Pros Unparalleled European-style accommodation atmosphere!!! Breakfast was delicious Quiet and peaceful Feel like a princess The owner was incredibly friendly!! The entire property is a photo zone. There's a supermarket nearby. ⛔️ Cons The room lacks basic amenities like a refrigerator, water, or coffee pot. I booked two rooms, but they were quite far apart, and even rooms with the same layout had slightly different conditions. It's far from major tourist attractions. I only stayed one night for a family trip, and the atmosphere was fantastic, with plenty of photo opportunities. However, I checked in too late, so I couldn't fully enjoy the place. The lack of a refrigerator was disappointing. Elderly guests might find it a bit inconvenient. There were very few Asians, and most of the guests were Westerners. There was no racism, and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. If you want to experience this kind of atmosphere, I highly recommend it! It felt like I'd been invited to stay overnight at the Duke's residence!
