With its ancient ruins, charming small harbor, and cobblestone streets, the entire town feels like it’s breathing history. Walking through the archaeological site and old souks gives you a real sense of how many civilizations passed through here. But my favorite moment was simply sitting at one of the cafés by the harbor and watching the sunset. There’s something incredibly peaceful about seeing history and the sea come together — it creates a calm, almost magical atmosphere. If you have extra time, you can easily add Batroun to your itinerary, which is just up the coast and perfect for a quick stop. On the way, you’ll also pass the Middle East’s most famous casino, making the drive even more interesting. Byblos is a beautiful mix of culture, scenery, and relaxed seaside vibes — definitely worth a visit when you’re in Lebanon.

I visited Byblos during my Easter vacation in Lebanon, and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience! 😎 The city is one of the oldest in the world, and walking through its streets felt like stepping back in time. The vibe was super peaceful, especially for a spring day. 🌞 There weren’t many people, which made it even more relaxing. 🙌 The city is small, but full of charm. The entry fee is quite affordable (typical for Lebanon), and it’s easy to reach from Beirut—just about an hour’s drive! 🚗💨 Once you’re there, you can explore the ancient ruins, stroll along the quaint streets, and enjoy some incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea. 🌊🌅 Byblos is the perfect spot for a relaxed day trip. You can grab a bite in one of the local restaurants while enjoying the views. 🍽️✨ I really recommend it if you're in Lebanon (I went there couple of years ago, and although the situation is complicated now, I'm sure it will get better) A historic gem that’s worth the visit!🌊 #celebrateit

I stayed in Lebanon for 5 days. To be honest, it was not worth it. I visited 4 of the 5 world cultural heritage sites. It feels like UNESCO has not allocated any money and there is no maintenance at all. It is placed there in a mess. Why do you have the nerve to charge tickets? The one with better protection is the Temple of Baalbek, which costs $12. There is still a little way to go. But I can't get into the ruins on the opposite side. There was originally an underground passage from here, but the door at the end of the passage was locked. I don't know what the operation is. Since I bought the ticket, I should be able to see it, the staff said. It's free, but I can't go in. Can I see it the same from outside as from inside? It's better not to buy a ticket. We also went to Tripoli, which is said to be the most splendid city. It’s nice to have a Grand Bazaar. From Tripoli bus station you can take a bus to Biblos Castle. It's really not worth paying for it. I also took a photo at the entrance of Angel Ancient City. The inside is just like that. To be honest, the gold content of these four world cultural heritages is too low. Only Baalbek is decent. The rest are really not worth it. .
