In autumn, pine needles and maple leaves mix together, and the breeze carries a crisp, woody scent 📍 For the section from the mountain gate to the main peak, I recommend taking the shuttle bus for part of the way to save your energy for the view at the top. On a clear day, you can see the fields in the distance, and the photos turn out more expansive than you'd imagine 🍜 After heading back to the city, don't miss Jinzhou barbecue. Don't wear white sneakers, or you'll regret it The Dongjiang Lake Tourist Area is perfect for the second day. It will be crowded during National Day, but it's more manageable than you'd think. ⏰ Arrive at the Confucius Temple before 8:00 AM before the tour groups flood in, so you can quietly explore the courtyards 📍 Enter from the South Gate and exit from the North Gate; follow the path without backtracking ⚠️ You can rent an audio guide or not, or just listen in on a tour group, but don't block the entrance Weishan Lake Tourist Area is perfect for the afternoon. Take a boat into the lake, where reed beds stretch on and on, and the breeze carries the scent of water. The lotus flowers have faded in autumn, but water chestnuts and lotus seed pods are in season. 🍜 Have a full fish feast by the lake; order by the number of people, and don't order too much at once.
