Don't miss the stroll to Sani Marina—perfect for a gelato break and yacht views. For golden hour, head to Afitos village, where you’ll get insta-worthy photos from the clifftop promenade (think stone houses and the endless Aegean behind you). Day 2: Sithonia Peninsula Morning: Grab snorkel gear and explore Kalamitsi Beach—amazing water clarity and quieter than Kassandra’s hotspots. Afternoon: Chill in Nikiti, wander the old village streets, and try artisanal honey in a local café. Sunset tip: Porto Koufo port is prime for seafood taverna dinners right by the water (look out for the color reflections in the calm harbor!). Day 3: Mount Athos Cruise Take a boat trip (available from Ouranoupoli) for a unique angle on UNESCO-listed Mount Athos. Boats don’t land, but the monastery-lined coast is a wow-moment for your camera—bring a zoom lens for details! Dress modestly if you plan to explore nearby villages. Practical Tips: 🚗 Renting a car is gold—public transport can be spotty between sights. 🏖️ Visit in late May or September for warm weather and fewer crowds. ☀️ Bring reef-safe sunscreen; Halkidiki’s sun is strong! #Halkidiki #GreeceTravel #BeachLife #HiddenGems #SummerVibes

We had the pleasure of experiencing an incredible day at Ikos Porto Petro, made possible by the exceptional Thanos Poursalidis. With his warm and professional demeanor, he greeted us personally and escorted us to the Market restaurant for breakfast. Jana quickly found us a delightful outdoor table, and although we were the sole guests outside, we felt thoroughly attended to. Our coffee arrived right on time, and the team consistently ensured we had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was vibrant, fresh, and beautifully arranged, with items thoughtfully replenished to prevent food waste. We were thrilled to recognize Ioanna at Market once again, recalling her from the previous year. Her presence proved invaluable later when we realized we had lost something—she helped us promptly and kindly. After breakfast, we hopped on a buggy to the Beach Club, where we found a serene shady spot overlooking the pool and the gorgeous bay. George welcomed us with refreshing drinks and took care of us warmly throughout the day. The team consistently kept our water and beverages perfectly chilled. Another highlight was observing swimming instructor Alexandra’s graceful teaching style. She held lessons for children every 30 minutes, tailoring each session skillfully to their age and ability. Her calm and caring approach was admirable, and her dedication—six hours in the pool—impressed us greatly. The bay itself was stunning, with crystal-clear, comfortably warm water. Later, we relished lunch at the Beach Club. Asterios enthusiastically recommended the sangria options, and hearing his familiar accent sparked a lively conversation. Mario joined us, and we realized we had known each other for years from Sani Beach in Greece—a delightful reminder of how small the world can be. Alan brought us a perfect combo of ceviche and burrata with white sangria, while Karin provided excellent care and recommended the Pavlova dessert. It was exquisite—light, delicate, and now one of our favorites. We wrapped up at the bar, enjoying the vibrant energy of the live DJ, bongos, and a lively atmosphere tailored to our generation. Rea and Sisa at the pool bar amazed us with their warmth, and Alexandra personally introduced herself. It truly felt less like a guest-staff dynamic and more like catching up with friends who knew just how to make us happy. Thank you all for the heartfelt hospitality! A touching moment arose involving Pedro, a buggy driver who comforted an understandably distressed guest. Her husband had been hospitalized, and Pedro showed exceptional empathy, patience, and care despite the heat and chaos. Bravo, Pedro—this defines genuine hospitality. This unforgettable day will stay with us for years, and we’re extremely thankful to Thanos Poursalidis for crafting it. Ikos Porto Petro has an extraordinary team. Whether you’re visiting Ikos or the Sani Group for the first time, you might arrive as a guest but leave with meaningful connections to both staff and other guests. Since becoming returning guests in 2018, it feels more like revisiting people who’ve become part of our journey rather than just staying at a hotel.

#localrules Arrive early during July and August to find parking and a good spot, as Kalithea is one of Halkidiki's busiest beaches. Respect beach bar areas. If you use a beach bar's sunbeds or umbrella, you'll usually need to pay a rental fee or meet a minimum order requirement. Public areas of the beach remain free to use. Keep the beach clean. Dispose of litter properly and avoid leaving cigarette butts or plastic behind. Keep music low. Loud speakers on the public beach are generally considered inconsiderate. Don't reserve sunbeds by leaving towels unattended for long periods. Wear swimwear only on the beach. Cover up with a T-shirt or dress when walking through the village or entering shops and restaurants. Follow lifeguard instructions and any warning flags before swimming. Kalithea is a Blue Flag beach with lifeguards during the main season. Protect yourself from the sun. The midday sun is very strong, so use sunscreen, drink plenty of water, and seek shade regularly. Respect nature. Avoid disturbing dunes, plants, and marine life, and don't leave food scraps that attract wildlife. Adopt the local pace. Greeks often enjoy long, relaxed beach days—"siga siga" ("slowly, slowly") is a common local attitude.

#KriopigiBeach , located on the eastern coast of #halkidiki 's #Kassandra peninsula is a scenic beach with nearby campsites and lush pine forests . The #beach sits below the charming hillside village of #Kriopigi , offering stunning views across the Toroneos Gulf. Unlike some of Halkidiki's busier beaches, Kriopigi feels more natural with a small downside is that parts of the seabed contain patches of seagrass (Posidonia oceanica) and pebbles, so swimming shoes can make entering the water more comfortable. Generally, Kriopigi Beach has little corals and the seagrass is completely natural and a sign of the beach's excellent water quality. The water is usually very clear, so you can often see the seagrass before stepping on it. Visitors will find a selection of beach bars, sunbeds, and tavernas nearby, · Aktaion Beach Bar · Agora Beach - Greek Kouzina & Beach Bar While water sports such as paddleboarding and kayaking are available during the #summer season. Another downside is that access to the beach can be steep, especially from the village above, which may be challenging for visitors with mobility concerns. Parking can also become limited during the peak months. #accommodation #hotel nearby · Poseidon View Hotel, 3 ⭐️ · Kassandra Palace seaside Resort, 5 ⭐️
