🇩🇪Drachenburg Schloss in Königswinter It's not a very famous tourist attraction, but it's a place I really wanted to visit! And it was a really satisfying tourist attraction, so I really wanted to write about it.ᕦ ᐛ ᕗ This is the castle on the way to Drachenburgfels that I wrote about last time.◡̈ You can see this castle if you get off the mountain train from Königswinter to Drachenburg in the middle! However, I recommend going to the Drachenburg observation deck and walking a little bit down to the castle instead of getting off in the middle! If you walk down, you can see the beautiful view of the castle.٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ I was surprised because it was more beautiful than I thought! Personally, I liked it better than Neuschwanstein Castle in Fussen.... The price to see the castle is 7 euros! A little? It seems expensive, but I think it's worth seeing◡̈ It's too bad that I couldn't take pictures, but it was a cute castle like a fairy tale! And the area called Königswinter itself is quiet and really beautiful, so if you're staying in Germany for a long time, I think it's worth going there at least once! And the nature is really the best ㅠㅅㅠ It's a really beautiful place, especially in the winterఇ #GermanyTravel #DrachenburgCastle #LifeTravelDestination #WithNature #Born #NextTimeHere#SafeTravel#HappyNewYear#CityTravel

A true German view spot: "Drachenfels Observatory" 🏞 I'd like to introduce you to the most stunning view I've seen in Germany. ◡̈ Drachenfels is located in the German city of Bonn! More specifically, it's a beautiful place called Königswinter. It's a truly quiet and beautiful small town :) While Königswinter is actually more beautiful in winter, the summer view was just as stunning! To see the view in the photo, you need to climb to the top of the mountain! There's a fee, but there's a mountain tram that takes you up the mountain easily. ◡̈ (I bought a round-trip ticket for 10 euros per person.) It might seem a bit pricey, but I took it because I wasn't very fit! The scenery and nature are also beautiful as you walk up, so if you're up for it, I recommend walking! The moment I arrived at the top, I was amazed at how beautiful it was! I thought the view from Munich was pretty, but that place was so beautiful I couldn't even imagine it ㅠㅅㅠ.. If you want to see a beautiful view, definitely visit. #Drachenfels #GermanyTravel #View #YouthTravel #PhotoSpot #SafeTravel #HappyNewYear #CityTravel

Winter sunshine at Petersberg, hot spring therapy at the Emperor's House in Bonn Hello everyone, I’m Teresa, a travel-loving woman from Shanghai. This time, I brought my little daughter Xiaoyu on a short trip to Germany and stayed at the Emperor's House Winter Hot Spring Spa Hotel in Bonn. It was truly an unforgettable experience! 😍 Beautiful scenery outside the window, all in view Standing on the hotel balcony, the rolling hills of Petersberg stretch into the distance, shrouded in mist, as if immersed in an ink painting. The hotel is located within the Konigswinter Regional Park, surrounded by lush trees and fresh air. Every morning when I wake up, I open the window, take a deep breath of the fresh air, and my mood instantly brightens. 🌿 Historic mansion, classical elegance This hotel not only boasts a prime location but also exudes a strong sense of history. Every corner reveals classical elegance, as if stepping into an ancient castle. The hotel lobby is exquisitely decorated, with various artworks hanging on the walls, creating a rich cultural atmosphere. 🌟 Comfortable rooms, enjoy luxury We stayed in a family room, which was spacious and bright, decorated in a simple yet elegant style. The bed was soft and comfortable, the minibar stocked with various drinks and snacks, and there was a 40-inch flat-screen TV with digital channels. The most delightful feature was the large desk where my daughter Xiaoyu did her homework while I leisurely enjoyed a cup of espresso, savoring precious parent-child time. ☕️ Hot spring therapy, relax body and mind The hotel’s spa center was a highlight of this trip. They offer massages, body treatments, and facials. I chose a full-body massage and felt completely relaxed. The indoor swimming pool was perfectly heated; soaking in it while admiring the view outside was pure bliss. Additionally, there is a sauna and fitness center to meet different guests’ needs. 🏊‍♀️ In short, the Emperor's House Winter Hot Spring Spa Hotel in Bonn is truly a perfect vacation spot. Whether for family trips or romantic honeymoons, everyone can find their own joy here. Next time I have the chance to visit Germany, I will definitely choose this place again! 🌈

#europetrip Spring transforms Bad Honnef into a sparkling gem on the Rhine's west bank. Walking along the riverside promenade, I watched cherry blossoms frame views of the Siebengebirge hills across the water, with the legendary Drachenfels mountain watching over everything . Up in Rhöndorf, half-timbered houses peek through fresh spring green—this is where Konrad Adenauer lived and died, his legacy woven into the town's fabric . Near Menzenberg, I discovered Schloss Hagerhof, its 17th-century origins now expanded into a schloss-like estate, with Jugendstil stables from 1904 adding architectural flair . The Rhine sparkles in April light, reflecting pastel facades and historic gables. Bad Honnef isn't just a spa town—it's a springtime conversation between river, mountain, and centuries of design. #BadHonnef #RiversideArchitecture #Siebengebirge #SpringOnTheRhine #SchlossHagerhof

🌂 The rain in Bonn has the rhythm of a piano Walking with an umbrella along the wet cherry blossom avenue Turn right at the end of Heerstraße and walk five minutes You might encounter the Rococo angel relief on the powder blue City Hall Beethoven's birthplace has few tourists Which makes it even better to watch in the dim light How the raindrops cloak the statue of the deaf composer With a hazy soft-focus filter The piano room on the second floor is playing the second movement of the "Pathetique" The elderly caretaker quietly says: "Only in this weather can he hear the resonance of the world" ——————————— Take the little train up the forest path That fairy tale castle is truly breathing The interior of the castle feels more immersive on a rainy day Every luxurious detail hides a century-old code The fireplace flickers with simulated flames Perhaps bad weather is the Rhine River’s most authentic attire

A hidden gem in Königswinter, near Bonn! A mist visit place for a relaxing stroll around the castle’s park or a nice Bier in the Biergarten nearby. They also have very good ice-cream right near the entrance to the castle. The full experience adult ticket is 24€, including admission to the castle, the cable car up to te top of the mountain which offeres amazing views of the Rhein river as well as Königswinter and Bad Honnef, and the reptile museum which had some of the biggest snakes and aligators I gave ever seen. Famous spots like Neuschwanstein are always jam-packed, and I just can't deal with taking photos that are nothing but the backs of people's heads. On my trip to Germany, I decided to hit up Schloss Drachenburg in Königswinter. Built in the 19th century in a classic Gothic style, from a distance, it looks like a setting straight out of a dark fantasy film. It's totally my vibe, perfect for anyone who loves a slightly nostalgic, eerie cinematic aesthetic. For a quick review: this place gives you a great bang for your buck. The entrance fee is 10 Euros, and in return, you get a peaceful atmosphere where you can stroll around freely without being shoved by massive crowds. Here are some practical tips for anyone planning to go: · Getting there: Hop on the S66 train from Bonn Central Station, and you'll be at Königswinter station in about 30 minutes. From the foot of the hill, there's a cog railway up to the castle (around 12.5 Euros for a round trip), but I opted for the 40-minute hike up the trail. It's a bit steep but nothing too exhausting—just think of it as some light cardio. · Highlights: The castle's interior and stained glass windows are incredibly well-preserved. You absolutely have to climb the North Tower; the panoramic view over the Rhine Valley from up there is sweeping and stunningly deep, making for some highly artistic photos. · Itinerary: A day trip from Bonn is the sweet spot—no need to waste money on a hotel just to stay the night. After touring the castle, take a walk down to the town at the base of the hill, find a cafe to sit and gaze at the Rhine River, and that's a wrap on a perfectly laid-back day. All in all, Schloss Drachenburg might not be jaw-droppingly colossal, but the relaxing experience and the views absolutely exceeded my expectations. If you're into slow travel and can't stand the hustle and bustle, you should definitely check this place out.

The entrance fee including the cable car up the mountain is about 18 euros. In fact, it is also nice to walk up the mountain when the weather is cool, but the road is very steep at the beginning, so friends with limited mobility or little exercise are advised to take the cable car. Schloss Drachenburg (Dragon Castle) is located in Königswinter near Bonn, Germany. It is a 19th-century neo-Gothic palace known as a model of "Rhine Romanticism". Built by banker Stephan von Sarter, the castle combines medieval style with ornate interiors and overlooks the stunning Rhine Valley. Although not a true medieval relic, the spires, stained windows and reliefs of Dragon Castle exude a fairy-tale charm. Now open as a museum, visitors can explore its grand halls, historical exhibits and surrounding parkland, and can also take a vintage cogwheel train to reach it. Not only is this a paradise for history lovers, it is also one of the most fascinating attractions along the Rhine. There are not many historical attractions in Bonn, and this is a place that you must visit. #travel #germany #bonn

#0yentravelJanuary2025#Germanytrip 🔥Recommended points A magnificent neo-Gothic castle. Located on a hill overlooking the Rhine, it features stunning architecture and beautiful gardens. 📝Travel notes I visited the interior and loved the cute decorations and stained glass♡ From the castle's observation deck, you can see the Rhine and the surrounding scenery! This castle is not particularly famous, so there weren't many tourists and I was able to take my time looking around! -------------------------------------------- 📍Drachenburg Castle Drachenfelsstraße 118, 53639 Königswinter, Germany

--- Nestled atop a scenic hill in Konigswinter, the Steigenberger Grandhotel & Spa Petersberg at Petersberg, 53639, Germany, offers more than just a place to sleep. 🌄 With its century-old charm and a view to die for, it's like stepping into a fairytale castle! Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast spread that boasts a panoramic view of Schloss Drachenburg. 🍳 The variety of food and tea is sure to tantalize your taste buds. The rooms? Spacious, comfortable, and as clean as a whistle, with a slight nudge to improve the shower pressure. Surrounded by the serenity of forested mountaintops and the Rhine River, it's a wellness retreat with a touch of classical elegance. Although some facilities show their age and the hammam was closed, the hotel's tranquil ambiance, friendly staff, and cozy yet luxurious rooms compensate for any minor shortcomings. Plus, the scent of Palma cologne lingers, adding to the hotel's nostalgic charm. 🛀 However, if you're an early riser, you might want to double-check the curtain's blackout effectiveness. And for those looking to make a splash, the pool might feel a tad small. 🏊‍♂️ # Konigswinter # KonigswinterHotel # KonigswinterTravel
