In warmer months, people swim here. ⸻ Konjic Bridge Historic Ottoman bridge with mountain scenery around. ⸻ Day 3 — Sarajevo: war history & hidden places Kozija Ćuprija An old Ottoman bridge surrounded by nature. Quiet and peaceful, ideal for a walk away from crowds. ⸻ Sarajevo Olympic Bobsleigh and Luge Track An abandoned Olympic bobsleigh track from the 1984 Winter Olympics. Today it’s covered with graffiti and surrounded by forest — one of the most unique places in Sarajevo. ⸻ Tunnel of Hope One of the most important historical places in Bosnia. During the siege of Sarajevo, this tunnel connected the city with the outside world and helped transport food, medicine, and supplies. Took a break from my internship in Chiang Mai to do a quick 8-day loop around Serbia, Bosnia, and Montenegro. It’s an easy visa-free route for a multi-country trip. Here is my honest, no-BS review of the places I visited. · *The Route:** Belgrade -> Drina River -> Wooden Town -> Sarajevo -> Mostar -> Kotor -> Durmitor -> Belgrade. · *What was actually worth it:** · **Kalemegdan Park (Belgrade):** This one is actually great. It’s right in the city center, overlooking the confluence of two rivers. Very relaxing to just sit on the grass. 5/5. · **Wooden Town (Mokra Gora):** A rustic, peaceful village made entirely of wood in the mountains. Cozy vibe, nice for a slow stroll and a coffee. · **Mostar & Kotor:** Classic spots. Kotor Bay is stunning, though both get a bit crowded with tourists. · *Just average:** · **The River House:** It’s literally just a tiny cabin on a rock in the river. Fine for a 15-minute photo stop, but nothing more. Don't go out of your way just for this. · *Quick Tips:** 1. **Food:** Try the local grilled meat served with sour bread. It’s greasy but very filling and cheap. 2. **Footwear:** The old towns are full of rough cobblestones. Wear flat, comfortable sneakers or your feet will suffer. 3. **Shopping:** You'll see handmade wool carpets for sale. They look decent and aren't too expensive, but only buy if you actually have space in your luggage. Overall, a solid route if you want a mix of history and nature. Quite cheap too.

#rafting I just got back from an incredible rafting adventure on the Neretva River in Bosnia, and I can’t stop thinking about it! 🌊 This was hands down one of the most thrilling experiences of my life.
