Travel Tips💡
Self-driving is highly recommended as Kokobushi Park is a bit far from the city center, and bus options are limited. Driving allows you to enjoy the natural scenery and majestic landscapes of Kita Sanriku along the way. Parking is ample and costs only 500 yen, so no worries there.
It’s suggested to arrive in the afternoon, take a leisurely walk, enjoy the cherry blossoms in the park, and then stay until evening to experience the night illumination for a different vibe.
Practical Tips:
· Some roads may have traffic restrictions during the cherry blossom season, so check traffic conditions in advance.
· For families with kids, the park has outdoor play facilities to keep them entertained.
· Must-bring items: lightweight jacket, picnic mat, umbrella (for sun protection), and a charger.
Transportation Guide:
The most convenient way to reach "Kokobushi Park" is by car, about a 40-minute drive from Kuji City center. If you choose public transport, take JR East to Kuji Station and then a taxi to the park. Bus services are relatively infrequent, so driving is the best option.
