2025 Laoshan Scenic Area Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in June)

This is where I found the most plastic figures so far thanks to the extensive pedestrian street network and the long coastal promenade and of course, there are many different figures from the previous ones, as the sea is close, so for example the appearance of the crab figures is completely natural. I liked the most probably the dragon figure. It's good to see them. #travel #puppets

1.day: My accommodation was close to the Qingdao Olimpic Sailing and Marine Culture Tourist Area so my approach was simple: I went there and turned right, walked on the Qingdao Seaside Scenic area visiting everything nearby beaches, parks, sculpture gardens then I continued in Qingdao city center, Zhongshan road, Cathedral etc. finished with Signal Hill Park. It was 30 km walk. (I use step counter.) I took the metro at Xinhaoshan to go back to the hotel. 2. day: I went again to the seashore but now I turned left and walked on the Laoshan Scenic Area visiting again nearby beaches, parks everything what I could. It was 25 km walk. I took the metro at Laoshan Convention Center to come back. 3. day: I walked to the botanical garden and visited every parks nearby. (See my other post about them). It was 30 km walk. I took the metro back at Zhongshan Park. Accomodation: Whatever you prefer but it should be close to the beaches. Restaurant: There was a Yuexikelai supermarket near the cathedral where you can find a self service restaurant, there are prepared meals or the staff can prepare something for you from the available ingredients. It's not overpriced. Tips: Wear sunhat, long-sleeved T-shirt for protection against the UV radiation. bring water, some snacks. (You can find hot drinking water in Qingdao Seaside Scenic Area at toilets but you need scan QR code. You can find hot and cold drinking water in Laoshan Scenic Area at some toilets, one of them at Flora Sea Cafe). I saw only vending machines at the park entrances. #travel #beaches

I have just wanted a post about the nice beaches I saw during my walk on the seashore. As you can see there aren't too many people. Where there are more people they are with tents. Recently, due to UV radiation, it is not advisable to stay on the beach for a long time without protection, and it is also very hot, except in the morning and evening hours. I like usually only walking on the beaches. #travel #beaches

[Love] I think you have to climb this kind of mountain, because this kind of mountain will give people momentum. The most important thing is that there is no step along the way. All the traces of the road walked by the predecessors are used to judge the way up the mountain. However, the scenery at the top of the mountain is really super beautiful. The scenery at the top of the mountain is the ancient maple tree of Shenqing Palace🌲. [Love] Location: Navigate to the mountaintop coffee shop, then park your car on the side of the road and go in through the gate. When you see a fork in the road, go left. The left is a shortcut. You can take a taxi from the city, which is not far, or take a bus. If you choose the coastal road, the scenery is very beautiful, and there are spots to stop and take photos. I recommend taking this route (there are tour buses that stop at various points). When you arrive, you can take a cable car to the top (or choose to walk up). Once you reach the top, you will find beautiful views. There are various points to enjoy the scenery, including caves. Be prepared physically and time-wise if you want to explore every spot. There are small shops selling tea, snacks, and instant noodles. The walking path consists of steps.

A wonderful hike in Qingdao bring you to this natural pools. In summer they invite you to take a cool bath and relax in the water.

#SpringGood Places2024 The Mount Laoshan coast is definitely a great place to visit in spring The scenery here is really great, at sunset, the sunset dyes the sky red, reflected on the blue sea, it is definitely a wild sight! And there is a leading road nearby, super many restaurants and shops, eating and shopping at once. It's about 30 minutes drive from the city.
