It’s cooked in beer sauce and is one of the most famous dishes in the Yangshuo/Guilin area. 🍊 One of the best drinks I had during the trip was an orange chocolate coffee from GOOD ME. Sweet, citrusy and surprisingly refreshing — honestly one of the best coffees I’ve ever tried. They also have cafés in some other provinces in China, so if you see one, I really recommend trying it ✨ 🏠 Accommodation I stayed at Zhennihua Inn, located near the end of West Street (西街). It’s a bit farther from the busy nightlife area (around a 15-minute walk), but honestly I liked that because it felt quieter and more peaceful at night. 💵 Price: around 10 USD per night One thing I really liked is that I had a private room just for myself, which is actually not that common at this price point since many budget places usually have shared or double rooms. The room also had: · a private bathroom · a comfortable bed · and a mountain view from the window ⛰️ Simple, peaceful and very cozy for a Yangshuo trip ✨ 💡 Tips 🎟 Student discounts are available in many scenic areas — always bring your student ID. 💌 Near the beginning of West Street, there’s a small shop/post office where you can buy postcards and send them abroad for around 5 RMB. 📖 Bring a small notebook if you like collecting travel stamps — many places in Yangshuo have them. 🌿 Spring is one of the best seasons to visit because everything is incredibly green. 👟 Be prepared to walk a lot — but the scenery makes every step worth it. ✨ Final thoughts Yangshuo became one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. The mountains honestly felt unreal, and for the first time in a long time, I truly felt connected to nature.
