Lorne beach is actually just beside the great ocean road memorial arch. it is within walking distance just a small slope down to the beach and you will arrive at your destination rather easily. the beach looks good and nice , perfect for some sun tanning in fact. love the sand and the sky as well as the colors of the water it is just so relaxing and calming. feels like you can meditate here or even do some self reflection. would recommend visiting here and take some nice pictures as it will turn out great and beautiful.

After eating, you can stroll around the town. ⬇️ Teddy Lookout: A viewpoint in Lorne town where you can see the coastline and the coastal road. ⬇️ Kennett River cafe koala: Here you can look for wild koalas in the trees 🐨. ⬇️ Apollo Bay Marriner Lookout: A viewpoint overlooking the whole town and sea view—definitely a must-visit!!! ⬇️ Check into a hotel in Apollo Bay. Popular hotels and B&Bs must be booked in advance. If you can’t get a reservation, I recommend staying in town for convenient dining and shopping 🉑. ✨Day 2: Breakfast at the popular scallop pie bakery 🍞. Personally, I found the taste average and a bit fishy ❌. ⬇️ Maits Rest Forest: You can take a rainforest walk here 🍃. ⬇️ The Twelve Apostles: I heard going in the afternoon causes backlighting, making photos less attractive. But when we went in the morning, the clouds were too thick; the blue sky only appeared at noon. I guess it depends on luck. ⬇️ Gibson Steps: When we went, it was closed, but now it’s open 🉑. You can get close to the rocks and go down to the beach. Definitely worth visiting. ⬇️ Loch Ard Gorge ⬇️ Campbell Port: Have lunch here. We chose 12 Rocks Beach Bar Cafe ☕️, but the taste was average ❌. ⬇️ London Bridge ⬇️ The Grotto: Our last stop. I highly recommend going down the stairs to see the sea cave. It’s a unique and special view 💯. ⬇️ Start the return trip back to Melbourne city. The scenery along the way is also quite nice, with haystack pastoral views somewhat reminiscent of Inner Mongolia. The two-day self-driving trip is very relaxed and enjoyable 😌. I recommend everyone arrange a two-day Great Ocean Road itinerary if time allows—no need to rush, just leisurely enjoy the beautiful scenery 🌊.

In the mid-19th century, it began to develop into a port town, fishing and maritime culture gradually brought prosperity to this area. After you picked up your rental car, head to Torquay Beach, the iconic starting point, to kick things off. Mantra Lorne Hotel Mantra Lorne is a resort located on the beautiful beachfront of Lorne, creating a relaxing and refreshing atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Beautiful rooms with complete amenities. The rooms are beautifully decorated and modern. What impressed me most was the bathtub, which was wonderful for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. You can soak in the warm, relaxing atmosphere, making your stay even more complete. Delicious breakfast and great value. The breakfast at Mantra Lorne is truly delicious and worth the price. There's a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, including freshly baked pastries every day. It's a great way to start the day. Hotel Activities and Seaside Atmosphere Mantra Lorne offers a wide range of activities, including strolling along the beach right next to the hotel, where you can fully enjoy the sea breeze and stunning views. There's also an indoor swimming pool, perfect for families. For more activities, there's also a tennis court and a spa. Disadvantages to Consider However, there is one thing to consider before booking: the hotel does not have an elevator. Therefore, if you have large luggage or have difficulty walking up stairs, you may need to prepare or inform the staff in advance to receive assistance with your luggage. Drive from Melbourne CBD four hours ride to Great Ocean Road to view the Twelve Apostles The Twelve Apostles are a collection of limestone stacks off the shore of Port Campbell National Park, by the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. Despite their name, there were never twelve limestone stacks. Seven of the original nine stacks remain standing. Six of them are visible from the most popular viewpoint, while the seventh is located several metres away from the corner of the main viewing platform. In 03 July 2005, a 50-metre-tall (160 ft) stack collapsed, leaving eight standing. Another collapsed in 2009, leaving seven remaining stacks. About 7 million people a year visit the Great Ocean Road region, making it one of Australia's most popular destinations. Travelling the road itself is one of the great attractions. On the return journey, you will drive past Apollo Bay for a sumptuous lunch. I took my lunch at Seafood Quay which serve Lobster Burger for $28. There are Chinese restaurant and restaurant within Apollo Bay Hotel which serve mussels and steaks. After the lunch , I head straight for the awards winning Gelato at Dooley Ice Cream. I ordered a cone with 2 scoops of Dark Chocolate and strawberries cheese cream for $10.50 and check around the sandy beaches in Apollo Bay. Thereafter drive up towards Kennett River and see free roaming Australia Koala Bears, Kangaroos and lots of colourful birds within the area. Afterwards visit the Memorial Arch and Split Point Lighthouse before heading back to Melbourne for dinner.
