The sunset dyed the dunes flowing gold—a strange kind of gentleness within the desolation. 💧 Sailimu Lake · the last tear of the Atlantic Sailimu Lake is known as the last tear of the Atlantic. Recently, many travelers have come to Xinjiang, and we got stuck in traffic by the lake. But as we waited, no one was anxious—the view outside the window was a gem-blue lake with snow-capped mountains in the distance. Every photo looked like a screensaver. What does it mean when traffic becomes a pleasure? This is it. Even more amazing was our second visit to Sailimu. The first day’s blue was bright and passionate; the next morning, after rain overnight, the temperature dropped sharply. A thin mist floated over the lake, and the light was so soft it felt like a dream. The same lake, but a completely different mood. By the way, that night we got up at 2:30 AM wrapped in blankets to shoot the starry sky. It was so cold we had to turn on the floor heating to barely survive. A friend once asked if middle-aged people can still be romantic. After collecting seashells with a local artisan, we sat together under the shade of a tree to make seashell collages. She taught me to break different colored seashells into appropriately sized pieces and then glue them onto cardstock piece by piece. I chose light blue seashell fragments to create a small lake, used small white conches to represent water birds flying across the lake, and finally added a few small yellow seashell fragments to decorate the corners with small flowers from the shore. When the whole picture was finished, it looked like a complete replica of the shoreline scenery we had seen together that day. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, falling on the collage, and the seashell fragments reflected shimmering light. The artisan said she had been making seashell art for over ten years, and what she loved most was the feeling of creating art with seashells she had personally collected. The bumpy road is worth it. Ride horses to Fairy Lake and Mengket Ancient Road. The mountains and waters are unrealistically beautiful.
