#kindnessontheroad Deep in the forested hills of the Belgian Ardennes, I joined a truffle hunting expedition. The star of the show wasn't the human guide, but a large, focused sow named Babette and her keeper, a jovial man named Luc. As we trekked through the damp undergrowth of oak trees, Luc explained the strict rules: truffles are protected, and foraging without a permit is illegal. Babette, driven by an instinct to find the aromatic fungi (which smell similar to the steroids in boar saliva), suddenly stopped near a mossy root. She began to snuffle and dig. Luc handed me a small trowel and guided my hand as I carefully unearthed a small, knobby black truffle. The scent was earthy and pungent. Luc then performed a clever trick: he gave Babette a piece of bread as a reward before she could eat the truffle herself, as pigs naturally love the taste. This experience taught me about the delicate ecosystem of the Ardennes. If you visit, stay on marked trails to protect the mycelium. Also, be aware that many "truffle experiences" are tourist traps; ensure you go with a licensed guide like Luc. The best time to go is late autumn to early winter. Have you ever foraged for your own food while traveling?

#travel #naturalwonders #Folsom #Lakenatoma #california #myitinerary #thingstodo #familytravel Nestled in Sacramento County, this 500-acre recreational lake is a watersports hub and a great place for a day out. Locals usually go sailing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding here. This is hidden gem. Not expecting such a peaceful and beautiful environment. Even the ducks and animals are so comfortable to be around you, close! Really peaceful and good for family and specially for kids. I would recommend coming here in June-August so you can enjoy the water and BBQ . It’s also nice to walk around and see the beautiful trees and plants sway in the awesome weather! Visitors normally drop by the Folsom Heritage Old Town as well which is scenic spot and have a good meals at the restaurants there.

⛹🏼 Unforgettable experience in the US ‘NBA intuition’ I went to study abroad in the US in January 2020, right before the outbreak of COVID-19. I stayed at a homestay in Davis, California, and went to Sacramento, a nearby city, with my friends to watch an NBA game over the weekend. ‘Sacramento Kings vs Oklahoma Thunder.’ It wasn’t a very famous team, so I went to the game without much expectation, but it was one of my unforgettable experiences in the US! A mini-club-like dance time before the game?, various events, and even chicken that fell from the sky on a mini parachute if you made three three-point shots???🍗🪂 There was no time to be bored during the game☺️ If you want to make unforgettable memories during your trip to the US, I recommend watching a basketball game at least once! #USA travel #California #Sacramento #Davis #Back in those days #Weekend outing #Overseas travel destination recommendation #NBA #Basketball #Next time here
