Should the Forestry Department plank the rotten stairs and bundle a 15 USD "entry + guide" fixed fee, or keep the inconsistent 10 USD collection? I'd bundle. The "mossy" bit is the 300 m before the first pool where the stair logs are black-green and the St Lucia parrot (Amazona versicolor) screams at 8 a.m. The falls are three tiers, main drop ~9 m into a jade pool, 18°C, swimmable only in dry season (Dec–May) — after rain the upper pool becomes a washing-machine current. Mistake: I drove the access road in a 2×4 rental after June rain — bottomed out twice, backed out, paid a Soufrière guy 40 USD to tug me with his pickup. Second: I swam under the main fall in October — ranger blew a whistle, "flashpool, log came down yesterday, out." This small natural spot offers several experiences: stroll through a tropical garden, admire the waterfall, and try an unusual treatment—a fish foot spa. The waterfall itself is surrounded by dense tropical vegetation. Water flows over rocks into a natural pool, surrounded by greenery, flowers, and the feeling of a true Caribbean garden. But the most fun part of the visit is the fish. You dip your feet in the water, and the little fish begin to actively "work on" your skin. It's quite an unusual experience: some laugh and get tickled, while others are completely relaxed. After the fish spa, you can simply stroll around the grounds, admire the tropical plants, and sit by the water. I especially like places like this in St. Lucia: here you don't have to choose between nature, beautiful views, and some unusual activity. Everything is collected in one place.
