Despite it being the rainy season, we were fortunate with the weather during the day, allowing us to enjoy the emerald-green sea and spend a blissful, dreamlike time. Milaidhoo stands out for its variety of activities. As first-timers to snorkeling, we were guided by an instructor who taught us the basics. Although we were initially nervous about snorkeling overseas, the instructor's thorough guidance allowed us to enjoy the Nemo excursion the next day, where we encountered not only clownfish but also turtles and sharks. It was an incredible experience. We also joined couple's spa sessions, morning yoga classes, and other activities, making the most of experiences we don't usually get to enjoy in our daily lives. Our butler, Hussi, provided exceptional support. He communicated in a way we could understand, despite our limited English, and created romantic surprises during room cleanings. The culinary offerings are diverse, with two buffet restaurants and four à la carte options, providing top-notch food and drinks! The all-inclusive concept includes access to four distinct restaurants and premium beverages such as signature cocktails and fine wines (e.g., Minuty, Lageder), ensuring a relaxing vacation experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I’d like to especially commend Anfal from housekeeping, who consistently surprised us with thoughtful decorations that made us feel right at home. Our butler Mira went above and beyond, fulfilling every wish and anticipating our needs, such as arranging a late check-out before we even asked. At the restaurant, Neema always greeted us warmly and took special care of our 3-year-old daughter with so much affection. Additionally, buggy driver Jaisham was always cheerful and playful, making such a positive impression that we took extra rides with him just because our daughter was overjoyed to see him. The purpose of this trip was relaxation and snorkeling. Among countless resorts in the Maldives, we chose Milaidhoo due to its reputable underwater environment. Its adult-only policy, small size, and limited number of rooms were also appealing. We booked an overwater villa using Hilton points and added a half-board option which, given the rainy season, didn’t differ significantly from the full cash price. Everything about the atmosphere was wonderful—relaxing while enjoying delicious food and endless snorkeling. The overwater villa offered breathtaking views and a beautifully designed interior. At night, swimming in the pool under countless stars was unforgettable. Unfortunately, since June is the rainy season, it poured almost daily. Mornings were mostly sunny, allowing for some enthusiastic ocean exploration, but afternoons brought poor visibility and challenging waves, which were tough for beginners. Though I wanted to try additional activities, bad weather limited these opportunities. Still, since it didn’t rain all day, I managed to go out to the sea daily. The staff were all excellent, but especially those at Ocean, the main dining venue for half-board guests, stood out for their kindness. While my expectations for food weren’t high, the dishes exceeded them—soups and desserts were consistently delightful, and the daily fish specials were fresh and flavorful. Despite spending only about an hour in the sea each day due to limited stamina, I encountered turtles, sharks, and many vibrant fish—moments I will never forget. Lastly, the staff requested multiple times for guests to leave reviews. While I am happy to write one because I had a wonderful stay, such requests feel a bit unbecoming for a high-end resort.

We visited for the second time, just like last year in May, and the experience was remarkable. The staff couldn’t be friendlier—always attentive, perfect, and accommodating! Breakfast leaves no wishes unfulfilled, featuring a large buffet alongside à la carte options. The entire property is well-maintained, peaceful, and easy to navigate. The villas, complete with spacious pools and balconies, are large and beautifully furnished. Jameel’s guest services were impeccable.

Stayed in a water villa for 5 nights. Despite being the rainy season with about three cloudy and high-wave days, the experience was still wonderful. The pool size was satisfying, and the sea right in front of the villa was teeming with fish, making snorkeling so enjoyable. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious, and while the mattress was slightly firmer than I prefer, the bedding was excellent. The room was impeccably maintained morning and evening, leaving nothing to be desired. The food was the highlight! We used the half-board meal plan, and nearly every dish we tried was delicious—there are even a few I’ll miss after returning to Korea. Lastly, our butler Maande will be missed the most. Checking in on us day and night, offering real-time assistance via KakaoTalk, and always going the extra mile—he was the epitome of a "perfect private receptionist.

Originally, I just wanted to spend my birthday alone in the Maldives, gazing at the sea each day, clearing my mind, and rediscovering the unforgettable underwater world of my memories. By chance, I came across many online recommendations for the snorkeling environment at Milaidhoo Maldives in Baa Atoll, and I was instantly captivated. Unlike large resorts, this place isn't flashy or bustling, nor is it overly crafted with artificial touches. Instead, it exudes a pure and serene natural vibe. Though the island is small, with few rooms and relatively simple facilities, this allows for the enjoyment of true tranquility, far from the noise of everyday life. The underwater world here is absolutely breathtaking. I stayed for two nights each in a Water Villa and a Beach Villa. Both types of rooms were incredibly spacious, but overall, I preferred the Beach Villa. It offered more privacy, with a personal stretch of beach and lush green surroundings right outside the door. Snorkeling was as easy as stepping into the water at will—utterly relaxing. When it comes to dining, although the restaurant choices weren't as many as those on larger islands, they still satisfied my palate for the duration of my stay. I particularly recommend the seafood buffet at Shoreline Grill, which was both abundant and delicious. Also noteworthy was BATHELI, a restaurant shaped like a traditional Maldivian dhoni boat, serving delightful local cuisine. Clare, our butler, offered exceptionally thoughtful service. The honeymoon was filled with surprises, and while we won't spoil them, there were plenty for you to discover when you visit.
