#getgoing2025 Hart Memorial Park in Bakersfield is such a peaceful retreat. There are so many activities you can engage in here such as fishing, hiking, bike riding etc. I loved the tranquil atmosphere here. I spent most of my time relaxing and sitting by the lake. There are so many birds here. I spotted a humming bird, a woodpecker and some parrots. You can also bring your dog here. I believe it is pet friendly. Overall , this park has everything one can wish for in a park. Do check it out!

The View from Lake Democrat it’s absolutely stunning. it’s a nice quiet little area with good fishing spots, if your into that.. my son caught this crab with a string and a stick, and I. caught my very first fish, and was overly excited. it’s not too bad of a drive to get here it’s a little windy but very beautiful. I highly suggest bringing your family up here to spend an afternoon or even renting a camp site! if you like to fish I’ll be outdoors this is definitely one of the most amazingly beautiful places that doesn’t cost a thing. but remember it is the current river and it’s a killer so beware jackets if you plan on being in the water
