#Bahrain International Airport Bahrain international airport is a magnificent piece of infrastructure. It's well lit with natural light, fully air conditioned and very, very clean. Direction signs are clear and precise. Staff are very helpful as well. In one sentence: it's one of the best airports that I have transited from a few times now. Even though my travels are very much only between a few countries.

On my way to Thailand, I had a seven hour transit in Bahrain. Fortunately I had access to the airport hotel where a three hour stay is possible with a platinum American Express card. The airport hotel is situated near gate 15 and has a range of different rooms. I enjoyed the use of a pod and had a shower afterwards to freshen up before my onward flight. The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly. #bahrain #airport

We arrived in Bahrain(this was back in March) during Ramadan! The airport was EMPTY! We collected our bags immediately, no waiting around, we didn’t have to queue for immigration The immigration officer was super friendly, we were greeted with a big smile and a welcome (opposite of UK border force lol) We paid £10 for our 1 week visa. They asked a few basic questions, like where we were staying & reason for our visit (tourism) and then off we went ! As it was Ramadan it was unusually quiet and you couldn’t eat or drink in public Then our friend collected us and drove us to his apartment where we were staying for the week Bahrain is popular for British expats due to the low cost of living, but it’s very difficult to get a residency visa they are quite strict So most expats living there are on a work visa and once the job stops, you have to leave (according to my friend) When I say you can live like ROYALTY in Bahrain Up next I’ll show you the apartment my friend was living in - it’s mind blowing!
