Akame Shijuhachitaki, Mie Prefecture A tourist spot where you can see many waterfalls, with well-maintained walking trails, where you can enjoy a stroll while soaking up plenty of negative ions. It takes about three hours round trip to see all of Akame Shijuhachitaki, but depending on your time, it's a good idea to turn back halfway. It's especially recommended during the autumn foliage season, but it's also cool in the summer. There is an entrance fee of 500 yen. In the building at the entrance, there is a center where you can see rare giant salamanders. #forestbathing #summertrip

This is great for a hike up a trail with tons of stairs and fantastic for photography, located at Akamecho, Nabari, Mie pefecture, Japan. Beautiful water falls and Ninja training experience. Fantastic place not far from Kyoto and Osaka.

If you have a free day in Osaka, I highly recommend visiting this place. Forest, river, waterfalls, and complete silence. Very beautiful! There aren't many people, mostly locals. Be sure to bring snacks and water, and wear comfortable shoes! You can collect a series of stamps along the way! #Akame48

On my way to my parents' house, I passed through Tsu City, so I decided to try "Takatora Dog," a place I'd been told about before. Takatora Dog I wondered what "Takatora" meant, and it turns out it's the name of a samurai who contributed to the construction of Iga Ueno Castle in Nabari City. Hearing this name two days in a row... it must be a local favorite. Order Counter This is a popular shop with long lines, and there were several people waiting even on this day. It's a sister store to "Kurama Sand" in Suzuka City, which I visited previously, and it also boasts 50 different variations. They're broadly divided into three categories: vegetable-based, savory, and sweet, and there are seasonal and limited-time offerings, so you could go every day and never get bored. White Room After ordering and heading to my seat, to my left was a bright room with white walls. Black Room To my right was a chic room with red walls. I don't quite understand the concept, but it's interesting. So, I'll be having my food here this time. Tsu Marina from the Window I could see Tsu Yacht Harbor from the window. Blue sky and white yachts. What a great view! Marina Set The "Marina Set" (price of the hot dog alone + 180 yen), which includes one type of hot dog, a drink, and dessert, is a good deal, so I chose the smoked salmon and mozzarella cheese hot dog (780 yen). Smoked Salmon and Mozzarella A generous amount of smoked salmon, lettuce, tomato, and mozzarella cheese is sandwiched between soft, slightly sweet bread, overflowing from the bun. The salty flavor of the moist, thick smoked salmon and the chewy texture of the mozzarella cheese are a great combination. However, the amount of filling was so generous it was a little difficult to eat (lol). But that's a good thing! They had a Mont Blanc sweet hot dog available at the time, but unfortunately it was sold out. I'm curious about it. The sweet hot dogs would probably make great souvenirs. I was in Mie Prefecture for some business recently. I usually just drive right through Nabari, but since I had things to do there, I met up with some people at a tofu restaurant. "There's no way tofu is going to fill me up," I thought to myself at first. Dengakuza Wakaya We met at a place called "Dengakuza Wakaya," located right at the foot of Iga Ueno Castle. The building itself is full of character and was apparently built back in the Edo period. Interior The interior is just as impressive. The main hall is spacious with high ceilings and massive, jet-black wooden beams that really show the building's age. Raw Yuba Sashimi We started with the raw yuba (tofu skin) sashimi. It was chewy, creamy, and literally melted in my mouth. Man, I really wanted a nice glass of sake to go with this (lol), but I had to stick to non-alcoholic drinks that day... What a shame. Grilling Over Charcoal Towards the back of the shop, the owner was busy grilling the tofu dengaku over an open charcoal fire. Tofu Croquettes While the dengaku was cooking, we had some tofu croquettes. I expected something more rustic, so I was surprised by their modern, Western-style presentation. They were incredibly light and fluffy—absolutely delicious. The acidity of the tomato sauce was the perfect match. Agedashi Tofu Next up was the agedashi tofu. This isn't your average izakaya version; the tofu itself has a much richer flavor and a firmer texture. The combination of the hearty tofu and the savory soy-dashi glaze was wonderful. Tofu Dengaku Finally, the tofu dengaku arrived. This whole spread is just for one person! The aroma of the toasted miso was incredible ♪ Tofu Dengaku Set Eating the sweet and savory tofu dengaku over rice, I almost wanted to double-check if it was actually grilled eel kabayaki! I was shocked at how satisfying this meal was. When the 16 skewers first came out, I wondered if I could actually finish them all, but it is tofu after all... In the end, I was completely stuffed and happy with both the taste and the portion size. On April 27th, a tragic fire broke out at Urufushine Shrine, a revered Shikinaisha (a shrine listed in early Japanese records) situated along the Nabari River in Nabari City, Mie Prefecture. The blaze completely destroyed the main hall and partially damaged the worship hall. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Sadly, similar incidents have been occurring at shrines and temples across the country recently. We'd like to share the story of this shrine, both to raise awareness and to show our support for its restoration. Urufushine Shrine is dedicated to Unane-no-Mikoto as its principal deity. It also honors a host of other deities, including Takemikazuchi-no-Mikoto, Futsunushi-no-Mikoto, Hime-no-Okami, Omononushi-no-Mikoto, Hinokagutsuchi-no-Mikoto, Ukanomitama-no-Mikoto, Takehayasusanowo-no-Mikoto, Amenokoyane-no-Mikoto, Emperor Ojin, and Emperor Nintoku. The main deity, Unane-no-Mikoto, is the god of water and grain. The name "Unane" is said to originate from the word "uneru" (to undulate or wind), as the original sacred object (a red rock) was located near a bend in the Nabari River ✍️ Following this theme, it's also said that the name "Urufushine" is derived from the phrase "uruou fushi-mizu," meaning "nourishing underground water." Both the look and sound of the name give off a rather cool vibe ✨️ Regarding its origins, all historical records were lost to fire during the Tensho Iga War in 1580. However, the shrine is mentioned in the Engishiki, a rule book from the Heian period, proving it boasts a rich history spanning over a millennium. During the era of Tsutsui Sadatsugu, Matsukura Katsushige—who ruled over Nabari—and later Todo Takayoshi, the first head of the Nabari-Todo clan during the Edo period, donated lands to the shrine. Ever since, it has been deeply revered as the local guardian deity of Nabari 🙏 Among its sacred treasures are three divine swords and 45 Noh masks (designated as prefectural cultural properties) inherited from the Iga-Todo clan. The shrine's torii gate and stone water basin are also recognized as city cultural properties. Thankfully, none of these precious items were affected by the recent fire 😌 I fondly remember receiving a goshuin (shrine stamp) here in the past. The chief priest told me, "The character '志' (kokorozashi, meaning ambition or resolve) sits right in the middle of the name 'Urufushine Shrine,' so I intentionally write it a little larger than the rest." He explained that this carries a profound message: "Live with great ambition at the center of your heart." I sincerely hope for the swift rebuilding of the shrine, and I am sending my prayers all the way from Nara 😌 【 𝕀𝕟𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕞𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 】 📍 3319 Hirao, Nabari City, Mie Prefecture 🚶‍♀️ 6-minute walk from Kintetsu Nabari Station 🅿️ Available ⁡.⁡ ⁡.

I visited the Akame 48 Waterfalls 😊 Nestled in a lush valley, you'll find waterfalls of all sizes scattered throughout. It's a perfect place to take a stroll while enjoying the crystal-clear streams and stunning scenery. The walking trails are well-maintained and easy to navigate. Standing close to the falls, I soaked in plenty of negative ions—it completely refreshed my mind and body! ✨ Another charm is how the landscape transforms with the seasons. It's especially breathtaking during the vibrant fresh greenery and the vivid autumn leaves, offering endless photogenic views. 📸 The summer sun was beating down, but it was so peaceful and calming near the waterfalls, making the heat just fade away. 😘👌👌👌 I highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves hiking or just wants to immerse themselves in nature. 📍 Access 🚃 About a 10-minute ride on the Mie Kotsu Bus from Kintetsu "Akameguchi Station"; get off at the "Akamedaki" bus stop and you're right there. 📍 Highlights ✔ One of Japan's most beautiful valleys ✔ Enjoy waterfalls of all sizes ✔ Abundant negative ions ✔ Highly recommended for spring greens and autumn foliage ✔ Perfect for hiking and nature walks

Akame Shijuhachitaki, located in Nabari City, Mie Prefecture, is a natural treasure trove and is listed among Japan's 100 best waterfalls. A series of waterfalls, large and small, line the valley. Enjoy breathtaking views throughout the seasons, from fresh greenery in spring, refreshing summer coolness, fiery autumn foliage🍁, and frozen waterfalls in winter. 🌊 The hiking trails to visit the waterfalls are well-maintained, making them easy even for beginners. You can refresh yourself surrounded by the murmuring of the mountain stream and negative ions. The Nitan Falls and Nunobiki Falls are particularly impressive and captivating. 👣 As there are slippery sections, we recommend wearing comfortable footwear, such as sneakers or trekking shoes. There are also rest spots and benches along the way, allowing you to spend some time immersed in nature. The photogenic scenery📸 makes for excellent social media posts. #AbsolutelyFreeTrip "Kaochidani" in Nabari City, Mie Prefecture is a valley that stretches for about 8km along the Shorenji River, and is attractive for its dynamic scenery with a series of columnar jointed rock walls✨ In spring, the rock surface is colored with mountain bush laurels and azaleas, and in autumn, the fiery autumn leaves color the rock surface, creating a spectacular view that is truly like "art carved by nature". I visited in autumn. In the area called Momijidani, the red and yellow leaves shine on the rock surface, and I was able to spend a soul-cleansing time with the babbling of the river🍁 It's perfect for driving and hiking, and it's a place where you'll want to take a deep breath in nature🌿 🚃【Access】 ・Address: Shorenji, Nabari City, Mie Prefecture ・Train: From the west exit of Kintetsu "Nabari Station", take the Sanko Bus bound for "Yamakasu" → Get off at "Momijidani" or "Ochiai" (about 30 minutes) ・Car: About 30 minutes from Meihan National Highway "Ueno IC" via National Highway 368 and 165 ・Parking: There are a few spaces on the side of the road (be careful of crowds during autumn foliage season) 🅿️ 🧭【Travel Tips】 ・The best time to see autumn foliage is early to mid-November 🍂 ・The area around "Momijidani" is a particularly recommended photo spot 📷 ・There are some narrow areas, so drive slowly and safely 🚗 ・It's also a good idea to visit the nearby "Akame Shijuhachitaki" and "Shorenji Lake" as a set ◎ ・In the morning, the light shines on the rock surface, making it a great photo spot ☀️ Kouwake Valley #Nabari City #Columnar jointing #Autumn foliage drive #Art of nature Domestic travel #Couple travel #Solo travel #Absolutely free travel

I went to "#yunocafe" in #Nabari city, #Mie prefecture ((((((っ･ω･)っ The cafe is run by a carpenter, and the interior is elaborate and stylish ✿ﾟ❀.(*´▽`*)❀.ﾟ✿ On a nice, warm day, I recommend eating on the terrace with a panoramic view of Lake Shorenji d(>∀<)b I ordered the turnip and mushroom #yuzuoroshihamburger and #hardpudding (o･ω-人) The "yuzuoroshi" on the hamburger has a slight scent and is easy to eat (ˊo̴̶̷̤ ̫ o̴̶̷̤ˋ)♡ The plate also had a wide variety of salads, and it looked good for my health overall ( ´͈ ᵕ `͈ ) The hard pudding was delicious with plenty of fresh cream (*´ч ` *) #Travelingwithme #Shinobichan

📍Ten Coffee Shop, Mie Prefecture A coffee shop with in-house roasting, renovated from a former post office building ☕️ We ordered: • Enmi ~Dark Roast~ (600 yen including tax) • Milk Coffee (600 yen including tax) • Cheese Terrine (400 yen including tax) • Chocolate Terrine (400 yen including tax) The coffee, made using a hand-cranked roaster, is slightly bitter and gentle ❤ They also have two types of sweets that pair perfectly with the coffee 💛☕️ Personally, I thought the cheesecake was incredibly delicious 🫶 The shop has only about 5 counter seats and 2 tables, so there's not much seating; you might have to wait a little depending on the time 🙂 Drinks are available for takeout, and they also sell their in-house roasted coffee beans 🫘 My coffee-loving friend even bought some beans to take home because they were so delicious—it's truly authentic!! Plus, it was a really cozy and lovely shop~♡ Adding a touch of excitement to everyday life: 🌙 📍 Ten Coffee Shop 📮 532-1 Jōroku, Akame-cho, Nabari City, Mie Prefecture 🕚 11:00-17:00 (Closed: Tuesdays and Wednesdays) 🚃 Approximately 7 minutes walk from Kintetsu Akameguchi Station exit 🅿️ Parking available #sakura2024 #cafe #cafehopping #Mie #gourmet #Mietravel

I had lunch at Dining Kitchen Kuma in Nabari, Mie Prefecture. This is a dining house with a large tatami-style private room. You have to take off your shoes before entering the tatami room. It is often used for gatherings such as memorial services, so we recommend making a reservation just in case. The lunch is so filling that you can enjoy creative Japanese cuisine. All the dishes are visually gorgeous. I wonder if the restaurant is family-run? The atmosphere was friendly and friendly. #PR #JapaneseGourmet #MiePrefecture #Nabari
