DAY 1 Renting a car is practically a must in Okinawa!🚘 We used Times Rent-a-Car and booked in advance through Trip.com. After picking up the car, we headed straight to American Village!🇺🇸 · *Make sure to visit here at sunset!!**🌅 The atmosphere where the sea and the sunset blend together is truly beautiful, and it was the perfect spot for taking photos📸 And if you come to Okinawa, you absolutely must try Blue Seal ice cream🍦💙 Afterward, we moved on to the Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa! I highly recommend this place✨ Unlike typical Japanese hotels, the rooms were really spacious and comfortable, which was great. The room view was beautiful, and the breakfast had a wide variety of options, so our satisfaction was top-notch! It was a hotel I would definitely want to stay at again if I visit Okinawa next time 🏨🤍 DAY 2 If you come to Okinawa, you absolutely have to visit the Churaumi Aquarium! 🐠 The scale is truly massive, and the actual whale sharks are much more magnificent than in photos, so I found myself staring at them for a long time. In the evening, I went shopping at Don Quijote 🛍️ I cleared out everything, from souvenirs to snacks 😂 DAY 3 The sea in Okinawa needs no introduction… 💙 And you absolutely MUST visit Kouri Bridge!! The emerald sea I saw while driving was so beautiful that it was the best place of this trip. 🌉✨ In the evening, I went to the food stalls at Kokusai Market 🍺 The combination of cold beer, yakitori, and gyoza is truly the best 🤤 The atmosphere was great, so I really enjoyed the last night of my trip. I stayed at the Busena Terrace during my trip to Okinawa. However, since it's such a popular tourist destination, there are actually very convenient bus routes to all the famous attractions. There are even many one-day passes available. If it's your first time visiting Okinawa, you can just buy the Okinawa Fun Pass. Why do I recommend this pass? Because 90% of the included attractions are accessible by public transport, with convenient and frequent schedules. Plus, using this pass can significantly cut down on ticket costs, so I highly recommend it. Day 1: After arriving at the airport, take the monorail to your downtown hotel, and explore Kokusai Dori in the evening. Note: If your flight arrives in the afternoon, you can choose to stay in American Village to make the next day's trip to Churaumi Aquarium easier. Of course, since you aren't driving, I recommend staying at a hotel near Kokusai Dori for the entire trip. This is the most convenient option, as you won't have to lug your bags around, and catching buses is a breeze. Day 2: Churaumi Aquarium + Cape Manzamo. You can use the Okinawa Fun Pass for all of this. Tickets are included, and the bus route is very straightforward, saving you from unnecessary detours. Day 3: Nago Pineapple Park + American Village. In the morning, take a bus to the Pineapple Park for a half-day visit, then catch another bus to experience American Village at night. It's absolutely stunning, which is why it draws such a crowd. Buses run until 9 PM, making it super easy to head back to your downtown hotel afterward. Day 3: Gyokusendo Cave + Ou Island. These spots are also easily accessible by bus and are located in the same direction, making for a smooth, full-day itinerary. Day 4: DMM Kariyushi Aquarium, Itoman Market, and Toyosaki Seaside Park. I guarantee you'll want to spend the entire day here. You can stroll through supermarkets and department stores, and enjoy the free beach. Day 5: Naminoue Shrine + Senagajima. Since you're flying out on Day 5, lugging baggage around can be a hassle. I recommend leaving your luggage at the hotel early in the morning and heading to Naminoue Shrine to snap some photos. Afterward, pick up your bags, drop them off in an airport coin locker, and head to Senagajima. It's gorgeous there and perfect for capturing stunning, Instagram-worthy shots. Danbo Ramen Nago Branch 🍜 Located in downtown Nago, this Danbo Ramen branch has its own dedicated parking lot right out front, making it super convenient for those on a road trip. We arrived around 5:30 PM that day, perfectly avoiding the dinner rush, and were seated immediately without any wait. The whole dining pace was very relaxed. After entering, you use the automatic ticket vending machine to order, which is quick and easy, and then the friendly staff guides you to your seat. The interior is neat and clean, and there's a self-serve water dispenser off to the side 🚰. Overall, the dining experience here offers great bang for your buck. As for the food, I went with the visually striking "Rekka Ramen" this time. The noodles were exactly the thin type I personally prefer, with a firm bite that perfectly soaked up the broth. Even though it's a rich, heavy-style broth, it was balanced perfectly and didn't taste overly salty at all 🧂. The heat from the Rekka spiciness was incredibly satisfying—it packs a punch without being overpowering—and it actually added great depth when combined with the thick broth. With every bite, you get that perfect harmony of rich pork bone essence and spicy heat. It’s absolutely the kind of soup that makes you want to savor it sip by sip down to the very last drop 🥣.

Okinawa Onna Village 🏖️ Living between Okinawa and Bali (plus more) 🌐 Although I live in Okinawa, I decided to stay in Onna Village for a change of scenery and to explore the northern area! Last time, I stayed in an ocean-view room, but this time I opted for the most affordable mountain-view room as my purpose was different. The room was on the 3rd/4th floor, and with no buildings obstructing the view, the windows could be opened, letting in plenty of light. It was quite pleasant 🙆♀️ The hotel features a private beach, and recently, more saunas have been added 🧖♀️ Additionally, there are plenty of activities available, and the best part is that you can use the pool, hot springs, and gym at the affiliated "Okinawa Kariyushi Beach Resort Ocean Spa." 🙌 The hot springs are available for a fee of 600 yen ♨︎ There’s also a shuttle bus service 🚌 Since there are few restaurants in the area and they tend to be fully booked even on weekdays, it’s best to make reservations in advance. This time, I stayed at the ANA Manza Beach InterContinental Hotel, which occupies a cape surrounded by the sea on three sides. Staying in a sea view room with a super large balcony facing the ocean, watching the sunrise in the morning, and falling asleep to the sound of waves at night is incredibly relaxing. The hotel’s public areas are full of a resort vibe, with swaying coconut trees in the lobby and futuristic elevators creating a striking contrast. The grounds are full of surprises everywhere: the white sandy Jellyfish Sea beach, sailboats for watching the sunset at sea, and pools where you can soak while gazing at the ocean... every snapshot looks like a masterpiece. The food and drink are also fantastic. The breakfast buffet is abundant, dinner at the Ryukyu specialty restaurant comes with performances, and afternoon tea at the seaside café is both pleasant and healing. Nearby attractions are also reliable, with places like the Ocean Expo Park and the Churaumi Aquarium well worth a visit. When the warm welcome tea is handed over, when the sunset reflects in the pool, when the sea breeze carries the scent of flowers, you realize that what truly moves you are these details polished by time. In Okinawa, slow down, daydream, laugh—this is what a vacation should be.

While searching for a place to stay on short notice, I found this hotel at a great price and decided to book it for one night! Located right near the 21st Century Forest Park and 21st Century Forest Beach 🏖️, this hotel offers convenient access to nature and relaxation. Although it's slightly away from the bustling downtown area filled with restaurants, there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and taxis aren't too far either, making it easy to go out for drinks without any worries 🙆♀️. I opted for the most compact room this time, which had a window that could open but no view. The room was small, but it came equipped with a microwave and a large refrigerator, which was very convenient! Amenities are available next to the front desk, and I was delighted to find drip coffee there ☕️. The parking lot had plenty of spaces available 🅿️. Nago, Okinawa 🏖️ Living a multi-location lifestyle between Okinawa and Bali (plus more) 🌐 Finally visited a restaurant I’ve been curious about for a long time! The owner previously worked at a popular restaurant in Naha before starting this place, so expectations were high! The restaurant mainly has counter seating, and by around 7:00 PM, it was almost full! While the menu isn’t extensive, you can sense the care and thought put into the selection. I enjoyed sipping on some sake while ordering the three-item sashimi platter and the shrimp Americane cocotte gratin. First off, the thick-cut fish was incredibly fresh—what a surprise! Also, I’m usually not a fan of squid, but for the first time, I found it absolutely delicious! 😍 I highly recommend trying the sashimi. 😌 The drink selection is quite comprehensive, and the wine is natural! #japanhotel Overall pretty good experience but nothing outstanding. Staff: Super nice, nothing to complain about. They were very thorough when explaining everything on the property available to us, politely greeted us at the entrance when we came and went, and were very prompt with our checkout. The staff in the spa was also very friendly- making sure we had everything we needed. Rooms: They were okay. Definitely better than the standard hotel room but not luxury. I did enjoy the large tub and stand-up shower. My favorite part by far was the sunroom area! It was so nice to be able to watch the sunset from our room. The beds were pretty hard and the pillows were too soft for me. The fridge was small and the microwave was located in the hallway- a little hard to find at first since there’s not signage. Amenities: Nice! Again not amazing but they are quite nice. While I did know that the outdoor pool wasn’t available during our stay prior to booking, it still would’ve been great to utilize. The indoor swimming pool was pretty nice- towels, floaties and floating boards are available. The spa wasn’t included in the booking but it was worth the trip and it is available until 11a the next day. We did decide to explore outside even though the pools were closed and the hammocks were such an amazing touch!! Such a nice experience to wind down but i wish there were a few more of the. Breakfast: While we did only try the western breakfast, I was a bit disappointed. There is definitely a lot lacking for it to feel like a full western buffet. The eggs were way too runny for my liking, especially since they’re the only scrambled option. The sweets were pretty good though and the fresh squeezed orange juice was a great touch.
