From 56 meters high, you can overlook 50,000 acres of nan bamboo. When the wind blows, the bamboo waves roll over the hills. Wearing a light-colored dress and shooting against the light gives a full forest fairy (scratch that) forest girl vibe🌲 The last spot is the scenic area under the second Zi River Bridge. Around 6 PM, the sunset falls on the river, casting warm golden light on half the water and cool tones on the other half. With the river breeze and shutter clicks, I took 80 unique shots that day. 🍜 You can’t skip the local food. Yiyang people really know how to eat. The more you chew, the more addictive they get. 🗺️ Here’s my no-detour itinerary: Arrive at Ming and Qing ancient street at 8:30 AM and stroll for 1.5 hours. The bluestone slabs, intangible cultural heritage shops, and Hanfu photo ops all flow smoothly. At 10 AM, drive 10 minutes to climb Huilong Mountain. Listen to the bell at Bailu Temple and enjoy the view of the Zi River from the Happiness Tower at the summit. It’s not tiring. Lunch at Taohualun Street with spicy hot pot. At 1:30 PM, drive 20 minutes to Qingxi Village and Zhou Libo’s former residence. The hundred-acre lotus pond with white walls and blue tiles is quiet and perfect for zoning out. At 3 PM, head to Taohua River Bamboo Sea. The sightseeing bus costs 30 yuan and is a must for lazy travelers. Walk the boardwalk, then go to the Bamboo Viewing Tower to wait for the backlight. Return to the city at dusk to catch the sunset at the Zi River scenic area and finish with late-night snacks. Most attractions are free. You can spend a whole day for just over 100 yuan per person. The value is incredible😭 🚌 Transportation: Take the high-speed train from Changsha to Yiyang Station in just over half an hour. City buses 3, 7, and 18 go directly to the Ming and Qing ancient street “big dock” stop; Driving is even better. Exit “Chaoyang” on the Changzhang Expressway and drive 25 minutes into the city. Parking outside the ancient street is 5 yuan with no time limit, and parking at the Bamboo Sea is 10 yuan.
