Old Valsamata, near St Gerasimos Monastery, Kefalonia Island ❤️ A once prosperous settlement which was badly damaged in the 1953 earthquake then abandoned by the inhabitants, leaving a ghost village which is absolutely amazing, tranquil, atmospheric, and a little spooky but absolutely worth a visit. Children must be supervised at all times as some of the buildings are unsafe and there are numerous deep and sometimes open areas.
