I started hiking at 6:30 AM, and the whole forest was mine alone. At the mid-mountain waterfall, the mist hits your face and opens your pores. Before 9 AM, sunlight filters through the trees and hits the rocks like scattered gold. Dongtanling is even more spectacular. After a rain at dusk, a sea of clouds pushes up from the valley. Only a few old photographers with tripods are on the viewing platform. 📍 It takes about 40 minutes to drive from the park entrance to the top of Dongtanling. The road is narrow and winding.
