Piraeus is a place that you can’t miss if you are in the city of Athens. It is a huge port, with many large ferry-boats loading and unloading trucks, cars and people. Quite an experience for someone not used to this. most of Athens' visitors simply consider it a transit point to the Aegean islands I recommend to visit this large area by sightseeing bus. I travelled solo, with a cabin under £600, and everything was included — food, drinks, and even $50 daily tour credit. The trip took place in late October, when the Mediterranean weather was still warm ☀️ but not too hot for sightseeing. My highlights were Santorini, with its whitewashed views; Naples, perfect for history and pizza 🍕; Rome, where every corner feels like a museum 🏛️; Pisa, with its iconic tower 🗼; and Cannes, still glowing under the autumn sun 🌊. Onboard, the food was fantastic — a mix of buffet and à la carte restaurants. The steakhouse was outstanding 🥩, and dishes in the à la carte venues were beautifully presented. With the unlimited drinks package, it was easy to relax with a cocktail or glass of wine as the sun set 🌅.
