The excursion was an excellent experience. On one hand, the landscapes of the lowlands are breathtaking. Ruth shared interesting historical insights about Scotland in a fun and engaging way, even pairing them with well-selected music. We stopped at several places, all of which I enjoyed, including a visit to the Blair Athol distillery, where they explained the stages of whisky production. In conclusion, highly recommended—I'd definitely do it again without hesitation.

Not a Munro though :( Eight hundred and forty one meters of elevation give you a beautiful view if the clouds aren't too low. Beware of the wind. Many cute dogs on the trail, bring big boots and rainproof jacket (Animal jacket 5000mm waterproof 2000mm breathable is recommended but be careful as Mountain Warehouse WILL charge you twice for it (jk we love mountain warehouse., big up Dave <3))

A nice Hiking track to follow to start from either side and come from the other. A 1.5mile track with good spots to sea and waterfall where you can swim 🏊♂️. Nice and cozy water to enjoy if you want to. Not so far from glasgow. Before the hike there's a chippy and a distillery 🍾 if yoy want to have something if you get tired furing the journey. Then, drive for 1 hour to Doune Castle, a filming location for Game of Thrones. Stirling Castle is much larger than Doune Castle and is the oldest castle after Edinburgh Castle, well worth a visit. Hadrian's Wall is also an important historical site in the UK. Although it's a slight detour, it's worth a visit to see the mini Great Wall. Arrive at the Lake District at sunset and check in to the best located lakeside hotel - Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa. The hotel has some history, but it's in the best location, close to the ferry terminal, and right on the lake.
