Brasão in Plano is a strong choice when you want dinner to include more than a single plated entrée. Start by taking in the wine-lined dining room, then look over the salad bar before the tableside meat service begins. The sliced beef rib delivers the richest part of the meal, while the fresh salads and vegetables give you a useful change of pace between cuts. Drinks can also become part of the experience, especially when the carajillo is prepared with blue flame beside the table. The best strategy is to take small portions and leave time between rounds rather than trying everything at once. This makes it easier to notice what you genuinely want again and still enjoy the final drinks or dessert. Confirm current hours and make a reservation when planning a weekend or celebration dinner. #travel#couplestrip#localfood

One of the best parts of visiting Brasão in Plano is that dinner moves through several distinct experiences. The salad bar is more than a quick first stop, with colorful vegetables, cold selections, and plenty of options to pair with the grilled meats. At the table, alcatra is carved directly from the skewer, making the service feel interactive without interrupting the meal. Later, the carajillo cart and flaming dessert bring a celebratory finish that is fun to watch as well as photograph. Give yourself enough time to explore the restaurant without rushing each course. I recommend starting lightly, tasting a few cuts, and saving dessert decisions until you know how much room is left. Check current reservation availability and menu details before visiting because service offerings can change. #travel#thingstodo#localfood

Brasão in Plano offers the kind of dinner where the pacing matters almost as much as the food. The beef rib arrives as a dramatic tableside presentation, but it is worth leaving space for the salad bar, drinks, and dessert instead of filling the first plate too quickly. I liked beginning with the wider dining room and vegetable displays because they make it easier to understand the full experience before the meat service starts. A smoked cocktail brings another visual moment to the table, and a layered dessert gives the meal a satisfying finish. For a first visit, try smaller tastes, note the cuts you enjoy most, and return to those later. The experience is especially suited to an unhurried dinner, so confirm current hours and consider reserving a table before heading to Legacy East. #travel#couplestrip#localfood

Dinner at Brasão in Plano is best approached slowly because several parts of the experience compete for attention. The beef rib is a standout tableside moment, while the salad bar and warm sides make it easy to build a plate that is more varied than meat alone. I would start with a quick walk around the displays before filling a plate, then choose a few items at a time so everything stays fresh and you still have room for the cuts brought to the table. The dining room feels polished enough for a celebration but remains comfortable for a relaxed meal. If you order a carajillo, the preparation is worth watching rather than treating it as a simple after-dinner drink. Check current reservations and service times before visiting, particularly on weekends. #travel#thingstodo#localfood

Brasão in Plano works well for a dinner when you want the meal itself to feel like an experience. The dining room has a polished, comfortable atmosphere, and the tableside service gives you time to sample different parts of the menu instead of committing to one entrée. I especially enjoyed seeing the alcatra carved at the table, then balancing the richer meats with a visit to the colorful salad bar. Save room near the end because the carajillo preparation adds a memorable bit of theater, and dessert makes an easy final course. Arrive hungry, pace yourself, and begin with smaller portions so you can decide which cuts and sides deserve a second serving. Reservations are worth checking before a busy evening, especially for larger groups. #travel#couplestrip#localfood

Angie’s in Plano is a casual stop when a group wants more variety than a typical fast-food menu. The bright orange-and-blue storefront makes the location easy to spot, and this Plano branch has interior ordering and seating if you would rather eat inside. A lobster roll can be turned into a meal with fries, Angie’s Sauce, and a drink, while the broader menu includes warm bowls and fried chicken for anyone who does not want seafood. Compare the combinations before ordering so everyone can choose the protein and format that suits them. Bring a credit card, debit card, or phone with tap-to-pay because Angie’s does not accept cash. Try to photograph the full table before opening sauces or moving sides, then enjoy the different dishes while they are fresh. #travel2026#travel#localfood

Before coming to Dallas, I'd seen so many people recommending this place 🫶🏻 It's located in Plano. The restaurant isn't very big, but the decor has a really strong Northeastern Chinese vibe, haha, lots of big red flowers everywhere! 🤪 As soon as you push open the door, you see the four big characters "Enter and Get Rich!" 🧧 We ordered these: 🥩 Awesome Skewers Set Meal This includes beef, lamb, chicken, chicken gizzards, and squid! The skewers aren't big. We also ordered extra grilled rice cakes, grilled gluten, enoki mushrooms in foil, king oysters, grilled bean curd sheets, and grilled oysters 🦪 For Northeastern dishes, we ordered sweet and sour pork and candied sweet potatoes! These two dishes were amazing! ❤️❤️ You can choose between the Harbin or Liaoning style sweet and sour pork; we ordered the Harbin style. The outer skin was very crispy, and it was sweet and sour! The candied sweet potatoes were absolutely delicious! I only regret that my stomach is too small, haha, otherwise I could have ordered a chicken stew with mushrooms! 😄😄 The owner even gave us candied hawthorns as a gift at the end! ❤️ Address: No.1 BBQ 6900 Alma Dr, Plano, TX 75023

I attended EBESU restaurant's anniversary celebration, which featured a tuna cutting demonstration and buffet. A whole tuna was prepared live, cut into sashimi and nigiri, and the sushi chefs were constantly making various kinds of sushi. The ingredients were fresh, and you could keep taking as much as you wanted. The other buffet items were also quite substantial, not just a bunch of carbohydrates to fill you up. There was Wagyu beef, lobster, scallops, abalone, duck breast, chicken, beef, and various fish, plus a teppanyaki area for grilling. Overall, the experience was great. Upon entering, there was a refreshing sweet and sour grapefruit welcome drink. The buffet was replenished quickly; items were brought out again as soon as they were taken. The staff were constantly clearing plates, and the service was very friendly. Although it was a buffet, the whole process didn't feel chaotic or perfunctory. Pictures 4 and 5 show my culinary creations. Tuna sashimi, various nigiri, Wagyu beef, lobster, scallops, abalone, duck breast, chicken and beef, soup, and desserts—at the prices of a regular Japanese restaurant's à la carte menu, this would definitely cost more than the $200+ entrance fee. However, I know some people will say: "How can a business possibly let you eat your money's worth at an all-you-can-eat buffet?" I don't know for sure if the food alone made the business lose money, but there was a raffle at the end of the event. The third prize was a cut of tuna with sake, the second prize was Wagyu beef with sake, and the first prize was a $300 gift card. I was the lucky winner of the first prize, so the question of whether I got my money's worth is no longer relevant. 📍EBESU 1007 E 15th St, Plano, TX 75074 Global Food and Drink Team

Lately, I've been craving flaky pastries, so I decided to indulge this week with some delicious croissants! These croissants are filled with a generous amount of cream. To maintain the texture and shape of the cream, they are stored in a refrigerated display rather than served warm and fresh out of the oven. However, even when chilled, the pastry retains its layers and crispiness without becoming soggy. 🥐 There are plenty of flavors to choose from. This time, I tried Matcha, Coffee, and Tiramisu. The cream is light, not heavy or greasy, and the sweetness is well-balanced—not overly sweet like many American desserts. The coffee flavor is rich, the matcha has a strong tea taste with a natural hint of bitterness and a pleasant aftertaste, and the tiramisu is a safe and satisfying choice. The cream filling is very generous. At first, it seems manageable, but as you eat, the cream starts to ooze out, ensuring every bite is filled with creamy goodness. The croissants themselves are quite substantial, feeling heavy in hand. After a two-hour workout at the gym, I was starving, and I devoured three croissants in under five minutes. When the staff asked me how they tasted, I showed them the empty box, and they were shocked! 😆 Before leaving, I also grabbed an Earl Grey Basque cheesecake. As someone very picky about Earl Grey flavors (some places have an artificial taste), this one was surprisingly pleasant. The tea flavor isn't overly strong but blends nicely with the creamy, milky taste of the Basque cheesecake. This shop is located in downtown Plano and is run by an Asian couple. The place is new, clean, and cozy, with only two seats inside. Most customers opt for takeout. 📍Cafe Meltie 930 E 15th St, Plano, TX 75074

I truly enjoyed my visit to Activate! The experience was fun, lively, and very well coordinated. I want to give a big thanks to Nasma, who was exceptionally warm and supportive during my time there. She ensured everything flowed seamlessly and fostered a welcoming vibe that enhanced the overall experience. I’d absolutely recommend Activate and can’t wait to return!

We originally thought the penguin colony on Petermann Island was spectacular enough, until our rubber boat approached Pléneau Island—the scene before us was simply breathtaking! Flocks of Gentoo penguins lined up on the black volcanic rocks, with the ancient, unmelting blue glacier behind them, and misty snow-capped mountains adding a natural filter to this fairyland. 🐧 Penguin Watching Tips: 1. The sunlight is best after 10 a.m., when penguins gather ashore to preen their feathers. 2. Look for rock crevices, where you can often find chicks huddling together for warmth. 3. Keep a distance of at least 5 meters and don’t block their "highways." The surprises didn’t end there! In the ice floe area, we spotted three chubby Weddell seals napping belly-up. The most dramatic sight was the skuas circling overhead, eyeing the penguin nests intently. The guide said they specifically target lone chicks. It’s recommended to bring a telephoto lens to clearly capture these natural survival battles. Glacier Cruise Essentials: ☑️ Water-resistant jacket (waves can splash onto the boat anytime) ☑️ Warm gloves (to keep fingers from freezing while holding the camera) ☑️ Seasickness medicine (the rubber boat ride through ice chunks can be bumpy) What’s most stunning about this pristine wilderness is how completely the animals ignore humans. Penguins waddle past your feet, seals lazily glance at you and go back to sleep—this feeling of being "accepted by nature" is probably the greatest magic of Antarctica.

Location is close to lots of great restaurants and stores.

#hellochristmas Deerfield Lights in Plano is one of the most popular free neighborhood Christmas light displays in North Texas, and it is completely drive through or walk through with no tickets required. The entire Deerfield subdivision participates, with dozens of homes decorated with coordinated light displays, animated figures, themed setups, inflatables, and large scale yard scenes that cover nearly every street. Most visitors drive slowly through the neighborhood in a loop, but you can also park on nearby streets and walk if you prefer to take photos and explore on foot. This is a residential neighborhood, so there are no vendors, food stands, or restrooms on site, and visitors are expected to be respectful of homeowners and traffic flow. It is best visited after dark and earlier in the evening on weekends to avoid long lines of cars. Street parking is available in surrounding areas, but do not block driveways or fire hydrants. This is a great family friendly stop that works well as a quick add on to dinner plans or other holiday activities in Plano.
