Amoy Hotel Lobby: Heritage site to see
Amoy hotel by Far East Hospitality took me on a blast into the past with just checking into their hotel, the lobby filled with a ton of artefacts that details the rich Singapore history in the Chinese culture, dwelling back to when Singapore was just a small fishing port in the south of Asia.
While their rooms are definitely a state of the art rooms in the service and technology , their lobby showcase the proud heritage of the early Chinese immigrants of Singapore in the 1850s by stepping into Fuk Tak Chi Museum, the first temple in Singapore to understand the love, life, triumph and tribulations of the Singapore founding members

Heritage hotel with a temple museum
Address - Amoy Hotel, 76 Telok Ayer Street, Singapore 048464
Amoy Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Chinatown! My husband and I almost couldnāt find the entrance to the hotel as it is very inconspicuous and unassuming.
One interesting fact about this hotel is that it has a temple museum connected to it. However, as for the rooms, they were pretty small and felt quite gloomy given the interior. Maybe because weāre used to more spacious rooms, it wasnāt the most pleasant and comfortable stay weāve had.
My overall rating of the experience: 3 out of 5 stars āļøāļøāļø

Amoy Hotel by Far East Hospitality
Another Far East adventure! This quaint property is quite cute and room decently boutique. Had one of the best omelette at Genius Central and found out that Mr Teh Tarik accepta kosong orders too! A bout of cleanliness incident marred my stay though quickly resolved - and credits to the team for showing effort to make things right at my departure though š¶

Unique stay @Amoy by FarEast Hospitality
Ever wondered what it is like to stay at a shophouse in the middle of CBD? Well, Amoy by Far east Hospitality is the go-to place for a unique one-of-a-kind experience!Ā
First up, expect personalised service at this boutique hotel where the service staff greets you with a smile, brings you up personally to your room, show you to the breakfast area and there is even a handwritten card on the table welcoming you to your stay. There is also a free mini bar, with complimentary can drinks, 3x Nespreso capsules and 3 bags of TWG tea.Ā
Room was impeccably clean, the furnishing was unique with wooden floorings, porcelain wash basin, an antique looking table and stool that brings back memories to the 1960s. Open the room windows, and you can look down on the streets and watch passerby go about their business..
Breakfast was at Genius Central where you can choose a main and a drink. There is a wide variey of breakfast choices, abeit all very healthy with vegan & gluten free options =) . I'm a foodie at heart and love to wander the area for good food which I'm pleased to find a good selection just downstairs. You can find traditional chang fen and congee usually found at dim sum places at Yin Ji é¶č®°č ē². With the recent hype around Pao Fan, be sure to try Chao Ting Pao Fan just next door. Or go for Malaysian style Chilli Pan Mee just round the corner. Finish up with a perk me up drink from Mr Teh Terik. Steamboat lovers, do make a reservation at Guo Fu steamboat restaurant. I always love steamboat, it is a place where I can enjoy a slow dinner with family or beau, happily cooking my thinly sliced meat in delicious broth while we talk about all things under the sun. Oh, did I mention? There is free flow Xiao Long Bao there too!Ā
While this may not be your typical stay at a 5 star hotel with shopping galore nearby, the impeccable service, quaint room, historical streets and good food around makes this a memorable experience that I would come back time and again.Ā

Along the walk at the amoy street, I came across the beautiful well decorated Chinese themed place .It is at the public access area of the hotel .The unique and artistic design is indeed very amazing .The use of strong colours such as brown and red, makes the hotel stands out from the rest .There are many restaurants and cafe along the street where you can get a bite .The nearest train station is within a few minutes of walk.

Singapore Heritage Trail
#thingstodo in Singapore when you are bored. Going around to learn the history of Singapore by following heritage trail. Amoy Hotel is part of it. While walking around Tanjong Pagar towards Raffles Place, I found this building that looks like temple but it is not. It's actually hotel with a good catch. They preserve the history of Singapore where the area is used to be trade place. This space is also open for public. Mind your step when you enter the gate. It doesn't feel like hotel at all, with cosy and unique vibe as if you are in chinatown museum. Minimalist interior that bring you towards 'zen', calming & peaceful environment. Lift is hidden somewhere. For different, unique experience, I'd definitely want to have #staycation here. š

[Explore SG] Staycay in an AMOY Shophouse
#singapore #hotelreview Would you stay in a hotel with the entrance looking like a temple? I would!
I was pretty amused when Google map showed that I had arrived at the destination, but I was facing these doors. I soon realised why.
The entrance to this boutique hotel was indeed through these temple doors, where I would arrive at the museum-cum-lobby showcasing the history of Chinese immigrants in Singapore. Every detail in this hotel gives you a glimpse of the Chinese culture in Singapore, which, as a Chinese Singaporean, was pretty endearing.
If youāre interested to learn more about the Chinese culture in Singapore, try staying at AMOY and you can go on to explore Chinatown nearby!

The Amoy Hotel
#wheretogo #tripblazers
Where to go? If you are looking for Chinese cultural heritage design hotels then you should consider the Amoy hotel located along the cross street area. The address is at 76 Telok Ayer St, Singapore 048464. The nearest MRT station is at the telok Ayer blue line station. You can also alight at the raffles place mrt station. It takes around ten minutes to reach there. The artistic lobby is uniquely designed and I really like the design of their lobby. The average rate for their room is 280 USD per night. There are many dining options available at that area, I am sure you will be well pampered by the food offered by the restaurants around the hotel.

This boutique hotel room is on the small size but still feel cosy.I love the design of the Chinese culture it would be good if the hotel has Chinese culture workshop.
