2 days and 1 night at Koh Phayam – Listen to the sound of rain on a quiet island in the middle of the southern sea
📍Trip overview
A short rainy season trip to Koh Phayam, Ranong Province, a small island full of peace and nature that is still fresh in every corner. Even though it is the rainy season, the sky is kind and opens for travel in parts, allowing us to capture beautiful sea images with a warm feeling without having to rush.
🌧️Rain & Sky
Sometimes the raindrops fall lightly on the wooden roof. It feels like a real break. But when the rain stops, the sky is bright. The sunlight shines through the clouds and shines on the sparkling sea. These short moments are the most beautiful and valuable.
🪨Light activities
• Walk on Ao Yai Beach when the sky is clear. The wind and the smell of rain mixed with the smell of the sea
• Ride a motorcycle to visit "Khao Hin Thalu", stop by to take a picture with the strangely shaped rock mountain that can see through to the sea behind
• Stop to try freshly roasted cashew nuts from the garden on the island, delicious, fragrant, soft, very enjoyable to chew
• Come back to sleep and listen to the sound of rain, paddle a light paddle in the evening, or just sip coffee, read a book slowly, that's enough
🏡Accommodation
Ziggy Stardust - A cool accommodation on the edge of a large bay hidden in nature. There are both tents and rooms, suitable for those who want to be alone and wake up to the sound of waves and rain in the quiet morning
🍽️Food & Cafe
• On the island, there is a small restaurant that cooks fresh, home-style food that is truly delicious
• There is also a beachside cafe where you can sip coffee and listen to the sound of waves mixed with light rain
• Have a simple seafood dinner by candlelight, with a gentle sea breeze, more romantic than you think
For those who are not afraid of rain, I recommend Koh Phayam because this rainy season makes everything on the island look especially quiet, beautiful, and soft.
