This small town is located near the border between Spain and France, about 20 minutes by car from San Sebastian. It's a cute and charming town, so I highly recommend it! Hondarribia is a fisherman's village. But the old town inside the castle walls is like another world. St. Maria Gate Andre Mari Atea is a magnificent gate, so I recommend entering from there. Once you pass through the gate, you'll find a slope that looks like it came out of Kiki's Delivery Service, and when you arrive at the square with the old castle of Carlos V at the top, you'll see a row of colorful, fairy-tale-like, cute, colorful houses. This old castle of Carlos V is now a hotel, and there is also a nice cafe attached.
