Everywhere I went was so pretty that it was hard to choose 10🥹 1. Ik Cheong Building Ik Cheong Building, famous for being a filming location for Transformers, surprised me with its impressive height and size as soon as I saw it. There used to be a photo zone where you could take pictures, but they said it was blocked off because of the noise from tourists. Since there are actual residents, I tried not to make too much noise when taking pictures🤫 2. Sham Shui Po Area (Rainbow Elementary School) An area where you can feel the local Hong Kong sensibility rather than the glamour of the city! Rainbow Elementary School is the colorful elementary school in the picture🌈 3. Choi Hong Apartment Choi Hong, famous for its rainbow-colored apartments! It hasn't been decided yet because it's confirmed to be rebuilt, but they say the apartments may disappear. If you're planning a trip to Hong Kong, take a quick picture📸 4. Mong Kok Station Overpass Hong Kong is becoming more sinicized, so many neon signs are disappearing. I still recommend Mongkok Station overpass for taking Hong Kong-style emotional shots🇭🇰 5. It's behind my accommodation, so I wandered around for a bit. I saw a flower shop, so I bought a bouquet to use as a prop. 😁 • 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 This cafe is cute. The owner is very kind. The photo corner outside is also cute. After this, I planned to go to Tsim Sha Tsui. I wanted to take a bus, but the bus kept going around me. LOL. Oh my god! I got off right away. This is a shop I walked past and the vendor called me in Thai to try it. 555 Let's try it. Their congee is really delicious. I can't say it's not. • 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗶 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 Then I scrolled and saw the picture here and wanted to go. Start by using the coupon I got from Hyatt to go find food for free. I told you the hotel is great. 😁 • 𝗔𝗵-𝗬𝗲𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹 It feels like a dumpling made from flour. There are many menus. On top is a colorful basketball court and exercise area, making it a great place to take beautiful photos. It's not far to walk and not hard to find. (Details are included in the picture.) The colors of this building attract many tourists to take photos. We came at noon, so there were fewer people. It wasn't hot at all, given Hong Kong's weather, which is always cloudy and rainy. The Choi Hung Estate Rooftop Basketball Court How to get there: Take the MTR to Choi Hung station, exit C4, then follow the red arrows until you find the yellow building. It's just a walking distance from MTR station to Choi Hung Estate. The neighbourhood also features parks and recreational facilities such as basketball court, providing residents with spaces to relax and exercise. With its vibrant colours and bustling energy, Choi Hung is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Hong Kong. I want to travel to Hong Kong to visit other area of Hong Kong to find our the beauty of Hong Kong.

Choi Hung Estate is a vibrant gem amidst Hong Kong's urban landscape, renowned for its colorful basketball court and Instagram-worthy backdrop. To reach this iconic photo spot, I took the MTR to Choi Hung Station on the Kwun Tong Line. From there, it's just a short walk to the estate. The spot to photograph the famous rainbow-hued buildings is the rooftop of the estate carpark. Once at rooftop, I was greeted by a kaleidoscope of colours on the building across. Perhaps it has been awhile since it was repainted, the colours were not as vibrant and saturated as depicted in the photos I saw on Instagram. But I guess all these can be adjusted in the post edits hahaha. Most people use the basketball court as the focal point for their photos. However, as there was a lot of people waiting on the basketball courts, I thought the badminton courts were just as good. It’s not easy trying to have a clean shot with no one in the foreground, but I guess it will help if you are patient and you go on a weekday! In Dec 2023, the HK government has announced plans to rebuild Choi Hung Estate and relocate its residents. [Rainbow Mansion/Hong Kong Village] MTR Kwun Tong Line, Choi Hong Station You've probably seen this apartment building on social media. It's often used in music videos, so many people may already know about it. When you look at it on a map, you might think it's a little far from the tourist spots, but it's actually about 15 minutes by MTR from the tourist center of Mongkok. This is actually a place for residents to relax, with a basketball court above the parking lot. When you exit from Exit C4 of Choi Hong Station on the MTR Kwun Tong Line, turn left immediately and you'll see the school on your right. On your left is the entrance to the apartment building in the fifth picture. If you walk along the road between the school and the apartment building, you'll see the multi-story car park, so take the stairs in the sixth picture to the second floor and you'll arrive!! It's often just one apartment building on social media, but in fact the entire building is painted rainbow! It's recommended to take videos or panoramic photos. This time, when I went there in the morning, there were only a few tourists. We flew in the afternoon and arrived in Hong Kong in the evening. The first day's plan was to eat and walk around the city. Let's start...go go! D-1 📍Arrived at Hong Kong Airport at 16:30 and left the airport to enter the city by A21, which is a City Bus into the city to the Kowloon side. If you are staying in Tsim Sha Tsui/Mong Kok/Yau Ma Tei, you can take this bus. There is a place to put your luggage, very convenient. 📍Check in at Yesinn @YMT in the Yau Ma Tei area.
