One sunny afternoon, in the midst of the Songkran party chaos, my four best friends and I decided to rent scooters and explore beyond Pattaya Central. Our destination: Coffee War, a unique military-themed cafe and viewpoint just outside the city. The ride there was scenic and smooth, adding to the adventure of the day. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the 100 baht entrance fee - which not only grants you access to the venue but also includes a drink of your choice. The drinks were top-notch; we tried a mix of iced lattes and smoothies, all of which were perfect under the afternoon sun. The setting is what really makes Coffee War stand out. Perched on a hillside, the cafe offers panoramic views of lush surroundings and nearby Rayong. The military-inspired decor, including decommissioned planes and army trucks, gives the place a distinctive character. There are lots of photo opportunities, and the atmosphere is both relaxed and quirky.
