Dazhong Temple, formerly known as Juesheng Temple, was a temple in the capital of the Qing Dynasty. Now it has been developed into Dazhong Temple Ancient Bell Museum, which is the ancient bell museum in my country. Precious cultural relics in history such as Yongle Bell, Gilded Bronze Bell, Hongzhi Dao Bell, etc. can be seen here. The gate of Dazhong Temple is located on the south side. The area of the temple is not large, with a depth of about 200 meters and a width of about 80 meters. The exhibition halls are distributed in various halls in the original ancient temple. The original Tianwang Hall is now the preface hall of the Ancient Bell Museum. After the preface hall, there are various specific exhibition halls, a total of ten. You can visit them one by one. The general play time is about 2-3 hours. The southern part of Dazhong Temple is divided into three areas: East Road, Middle Road, and West Road. The exhibition hall on the East Road is "Yuegu Zhonglin", which shows the development history of ancient bells in ancient China. There are many large bells in history, which can be visited. There is also a human-computer interactive game "Be a monk for a day and hit the bell for a day" in the exhibition hall, which is very interesting. There are two exhibition halls in the west road, "The Imperially Built Juesheng" and "Golden Fire Flowing Light". The former shows the glorious history of Juesheng Temple, the predecessor of the Big Bell Temple Museum, and the latter shows the technology of casting big bells by the ancients, which can be learned one by one. The middle road is the main building of the museum, which is divided into several exhibition halls, "The Echo of Rituals and Music" (in the former Daxiong Hall), "The Quality and Sternness of Instruments" (in the former Guanyin Hall), and "The Wonderful Sanskrit Sound" (in the former Sutra Library), showing the types and representative significance of ancient bells, etc. Sometimes there will be live music performances, which can be visited if you are lucky. In the backyard on the north side of the Big Bell Temple, there is a big bell tower, which is the most important place in the whole museum. It houses the treasure of the town, the Yongle Bell. There are a total of 230,000 words of Buddhist scriptures and mantras engraved on this bell. It is a high level of casting in the Ming Dynasty and a precious cultural relic of the country. You must not miss it when you come here. Now the museum uses multimedia technology to scan every word on the tree, which can be viewed one by one through projection. In addition, there are three exhibition halls in the museum, namely "The Sound of Bells", "The Sound of Poetry", and "Foreign Bells". You can visit them one by one, especially the "Foreign Bells" exhibition hall, which displays the unique European carillon, which is worth a good look.
