[2025 Singapore Shopping Mall] Travel Guide for Don Don: Donki (Updated Jun)

My two children are nuts over Japanese food and the country Japan. No I am not going to spend a bomb to keep flying to Japan and I am not going to splurge on Japanese restaurants or cafes always too. My perfect solution is Don Don donki, which can be easily located in Singapore because they have so many branches around the neighborhoods and even near my home. Donki has colourful eye catching signboards promoting their Japanese products and there is always some sort of discounts given or ongoing promotions. My kids love their food and snacks section the most. Their favourite has got to be the bento sets and sushi. The food is cheap and fresh and good and there is always something for my kids to buy, which makes them really happy when they are in donki. #celebratewithtrip #tripblazers

My Top 1 favourite is their Takoyaki (S$5.90). So delicious and good value for money. Next is Salmon Nigiri Aburi (S$9.90) and lastly Charcoal Grill Unagi Jyu (S$9.90). I find their Fried Chicken, Gyoza, Yakisoba, Omu Soba, Tamagoyaki, Daifuku and Hokkaido Pudding are just decent. They have so many Onigiri, quick bites and desserts, and I would like to try them some days. If you have any recommendations, you can comment down below. #fallingforfall 📍3 Temasek Boulevard, Tower 5 02-379-387 Suntec City Mall West Wing, Singapore 038983 Don Don Donki (known as Don Quijote in Japan) is a Japanese mega hypermarket chain selling all things such as Japanese grocery, food items, beauty products, toys and more in Singapore. There are currently 13 stores in Singapore & more stores will be open in the coming months (saw their hoardings at Jurong Point and Jewel). The Suntec outlet had the fall vibes when we visited it with the autumn leaves decorations near the confectionery and cashier section of the store. There are a lot of Japanese candy, chocolate and more available to choose from.

#meetsingapore Always happy to see Don Don Donki and they are opening more outlets in Singapore. It is a great place to get my imported groceries freshly air flown to Singapore. There are also many other imported goods and when Japan was still not welcoming tourists. I had to buy my items from here. It is a great alternative and I also do not need to carry heavy items every time. Since there is always a Don Don Donki nearby. This outlet at Harbourfront centre is not always crowded so it is easier to shop here. Also, their discounted food items start early here too. You can buy at 20% less than usual price for their daily bento. It is sheltered once you arrive at Harbourfront MRT.

#meetsingapore Sometimes when you are shopping at Don Don Donki, you have to look at their labels. Some of their fresh produce is from Malaysia and not air-flown from Japan. So do not buy the wrong item. If you are buying alcohol, you also have to take note of the alcohol selling hours, some outlets like Citysquare mall have an earlier stop selling time because of its location. I was comparing the prices of buying in Singapore and Japan. I find the price difference is negligible for some items. Also, you can register a Donki account and collect points for voucher redemption too. Have fun shopping at Donki.

Don Don Donki opened its outlet at Jem on 15 Jan 2020. The new two-storey outlet is located on the second and third floor of the mall. It is by far the largest Don Don Donki outlet in Singapore. It offers a wide variety of high-quality Japanese products ranging from fresh produce to toys. You will find Confectionary, Cosmetics, Pet Goods, Home Goods, Health Goods, Bags, Bedding, Hobbies and Toys, Clothing, Stationery, Perfume, Timepieces and Souvenirs. At its supermarket sections, you can look out for items such as Fruits and Vegetables, Chilled Foods, Fresh Fish, Fresh Meat, Processed Foods, Snacks and Liquor. It has a takeaway delicatessen section that sells sushi and sashimi too. This JEM outlet has a food court selling delicious Japanese cuisine at affordable prices on Level 3, there is an additional seating area on Level 3 too. Great for those who love Japanese food. Would recommend you to check out their wide variety of sauce, ingredient and instant noodles ;)

Where - Don Don Donki Highlights - very tender Wagyu beef Rating - 🍢🍢🍢🍢🍢 Walked past Don Don Donki at Orchard Central and was lured the very aromatic BBQ smell despite having the mask on. Detoured to the area and found this very inviting banner. The smell is just irresistible and with the queue, it can’t be too wrong. The Wagyu beef pieces didn’t look very marbled but it just melts in your mouth. The outer layer is slightly crispy and the inside is juicy and tender. There’s no marination. Just a few grains of salt is enough to bring out the aroma and taste. It goes to show the quality of the beef. It’s not cheap for just that 3 bites but I would say it’s really worth it. They have a wide range of Chinese New year snacks, decorative flowers, and many more. For the auspicious plant, you can choose the lucky bamboo, or the hyacinths, which comes with various colours, such as red, purple, pink, yellow, blue and other colours. Recently, there seems to be an increased urge in people buying oranges that look like bottle gourd . When walking around the place, we saw many people buying such shaped oranges. Be sure to visit those places to grab some CNY snacks.

#2024wish Don don donki is a super awesome store that transport you to Japan. We Enjoy all the sights sounds and food from Japan in one store. Really interesting decor that makes shopping a joy and pleasure. It is also Our go-to place whenever we need a quick fix of Japanese snacks. They also offer many fresh and frozen meat such as meat platter shabu shabu, steaks, snow crab and more.

When talking about reunion meals for Chinese New year, then Don Don donki is the prefect place to get all your reunion meals prep. Don Don donki sells different kinds of soup broths, all nicely packed and it's ideal for your steamboat. Cuts of meat are easily available and sold at an affordable price, you can use them for bbq or steamboat even. You can find your shabu shabu cuts, to wagyu and nice meat platters. They offer a wide variety of premium quality Japanese products ranging from fresh produce to toys, and ready to eat delicateessens. Find everything you are looking for and discover things you never knew you needed, only at Don Don Donki. Especially their seasonal fruits, like melons and grapes are one of my favorites.

I have always loved shopping at Don Donki because of it's japanese products and of which are attractive and exquisite. But if you think Don Don Donki only sells japanese groceries, think again. My recent trip to donki, I was able to find some cute halloween display with halloween items from Japan. There were real pumpkins that could be used for halloween props or you could even cook it for eating. What's better still is that the pumpkins were on half price! Cheap! Other finds includes a mix of halloween sushi, they were so cute and for a price of $5.80 for 4 pieces of cute halloween theme sushi, it is not expensive. Pretty creative i would say.
