However, the hot water in the bathroom was dismal; neither the shower nor the bathtub got enough heat to provide a comfortable experience. The transportation is quite convenient; it's about a 3-minute bike ride from the Lingzhi subway station (the shared bikes in Shenzhen are great to ride, with new bikes in abundance, and there's no need to look for a parking spot as the roadside is basically full of them, highly recommended). The bus station is also nearby. Although the room was redeemed with my husband's points, the front desk was considerate enough to give us a 63cm high-level suite. The hotel was renovated in 2022, with new hardware and a modern minimalist style that incorporates elements of industrial vintage. The first thing that catches your eye upon entering the hotel is the lobby bar, which serves as the happy hour area in the evening due to the absence of an executive lounge, with some soft drinks and nuts placed at the edge of the bar. To the far right of the lobby bar, there's a pool table, which is a thoughtful touch for guests to pass the time. Passing through the lobby bar to the check-in counter, the room's decor of natural wood, marble, and leather metal is cleverly integrated, showing that the hotel has put a lot of effort into the renovation, striving to reach a five-star level. Our room, although lacking a view (hence the curtains were never opened, revealing only a rooftop), has quite nice hardware facilities. The water pressure in the shower is strong, with a smart toilet, and the retro blue in the bathroom stands out, making for a pleasant bathing experience.
