Jakarta to Yogyakarta train trip
Yogyakarta is a famous tourist destination on Java Island. You can also get there by train from the capital, Jakarta. Travel time: Approximately 8 hours. Long-distance train: To get from Jakarta to Yogyakarta, take the long-distance train "KA Antar Kota." Once you get on, it's just one train to Yogyakarta Station. The station is the same as KRL (the tramway that connects the suburbs of Jakarta), and there are only a limited number of stations where you can board long-distance trains. From Karawang to Prambanan Temple
I went from Karawang Station near Jakarta to Prambanan Station (the closest station to Prambanan Temple) via Yogyakarta Station
The route is the same if you go from Jakarta
1) Get on the train
2) Get off at Yogyakarta Station
3) Transfer to a local line
Exit the ticket gate and transfer to the local line "KRL Commuter"
It takes about 30 minutes to get to Prambanan Station by local train
