The suggested visiting time is 5–6 days. ☁Weather: July and August are the rainy season in western Sichuan. The weather forecast is unreliable, and you can experience cloudy☁, rainy🌧, and sunny☀ weather all in one day. 🚗Transportation: ❗The village road to Genyen Town is under construction, and it is open during three time slots: morning, noon, and evening (1 hour each time slot). The road conditions from Litang are good. ❗Zebar Village can be reached from Xietong via Genyen Eye (dirt road with potholes) or by detouring from Genyen Town to Zhangna and Naiganduo Village (paved road). ❗The uphill section of the road over Zawala Pass has many fallen rocks, so drive carefully. 🏡Accommodation The accommodation in Litang and Xinduqiao is quite good. During the acclimatization period, it is recommended to stay in a room with oxygen supply. If you want to stay in Zebar Village, book your room early, otherwise, you'll have to stay in Genyen Town or Xietong Village. Beautiful Spots in Genyen Genyen Eye From an aerial view, it looks like a magical eye, facing a whole row of snow-capped mountains. You can ride a horse to the foot of the snow mountain. The road up the mountain is currently under construction. If you want to go to Xietong Village, pay attention to the opening hours! Zebar Village The biggest surprise of the trip!!! It's even more beautiful than Xietong Village, right at the foot of the snow mountain. Staying in a minsu, you can see the snow mountain just by looking up. Before, there were only local villagers' minsu with limited accommodation. Now, there are newly built ones that are very popular. The one we stayed in was fully booked even though it wasn't even fully decorated yet. Zebar Secret Realm At the end of Zebar Village, there is a short section of rough road. After passing it, you'll find a paradise with beautiful flowers, meadows, and streams! You can also climb a small hill for a panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains. One Tree One Tree is also in Zebar Village! Zebar Village is the essence! You can go there on horseback! Lenggu Monastery Deep in the Genyen snow-capped mountains, there is a secluded thousand-year-old monastery called Lenggu Monastery. You can drive directly to the New Lenggu Monastery. To go to the Old Lenggu Monastery, you need to take a local motorcycle. Clothing Suggestions👔： You can wear brightly colored clothes, such as red/orange/yellow/pink/white dresses, which will look good in photos. However, the weather in the plateau area changes a lot, so pay attention to keeping warm. ❗Important Notes： The entire Litang area is over 4,000 meters above sea level. When you think of mountains, snows and serene lush Highland plateau Litang, tibet in china is the ultimate must go spot. .. Hanging at the elevation of 4100 meters from sea level (litang town) majority of them are Tibetan they called them "Khampa" I took a bullet train from guangzhou city to chengdu city.. And from chengdu took "SUV" I recommend SUV . And please prepare some. Snacks like chocolate biscuits and fruits its 10 hours drive and drive is one of the best (imagine cruising over 300kms just above 3500 meters) its like you in cloud 9....you are just gliding foods on the way are mostly Chinese and Tibetan food certain. Coffee shops available do stop over at kangding ( shak pa pass altitude 4400 meters) throat some tibetan lucky papers they called lungta wind horse... To send luck and prayers to everyone If possible go. Litang town in August or September they have over 2 weeks of horse riding events... This is the spectra or theme of this kham region town.... .and just viist certain old monasteries, old. Houses streets and another place to see here is a birth place of 7th Dalai Lama, the higest ranking personal of Tibetan Buddhism... And cordyceps wild mushroom, seabuck thorn, u get to enjoy many. Wild foods and herbs.... Please prepare well before going there especially your health as its too high you might have issues with lack of oxygen, breathing difficulties , headache nausea, the most of the good hotels provide oxygen inhaler, humidifier, . Just go there in good shape ... I seriously don't recommend people who have lungs issues, asthma, or other respiratory problems.... The rest is all divine up there .... Ultimate gateaway.... Erlang Temple is located in Litang County near the Benge township on the 217 National Highway between Litang and Doacheng. The temple is very old, small and remote but very peaceful. We were lucky enough to talk with the resident monk who had lived there for many years and showed us the inside of the temple where he lives. Alongside the temple is a small mountain which visitors can walk up. The path is a very well maintained boardwalk and the only challenge visitors might face is the altitude as the temple sits around 4000m in altitude. When sitting on top of the mountain, it is absolutely silent.
